First and foremost, congrats on being the FIRST and only 7 sec LS1...
Second, half you guys are ridiculous... the guy NEVER posted about some stupid record.. READ THE TITLE OF THE THREAD... QUEST FOR 7 SECONDS IS.....
third, NHRA requires 1% backup, NOT 10%.... so, if he ran 7.94, he would need to run within 1% IF he was at an NHRA event or NMCA or NSCA or NMRA event...
get off the guys back and congratulate, dont hate..

1. Which "record book" are we talking about? I didn't know the governing bodies such as NHRA and IHRA kept up with LS1 records.
2. Since when did a C5R motor become an LS1 motor?
3. Is it now a dual power adder car?
4. They could compete in a Competition Eliminator class like E/AA or F/AA, if single power adder?
Very cool car in any case.

Congrats guys, 7's is no easy task and is not cheaply to do. You guys probably have one of the best teams out there working on that car. Your setup is incrediable from car to tow rig and the of course the team.

On the otherhand, I'm not sure they would want everyone to know the details of their build and it probably changes some from week to week. Certainly we don't make the specs to our Firebird's motor public.

Spending all that money just to run 7s in a C5R-based car doesn't make much sense unless you have a grander plan.
You don't alway's have to build a car to race it in a certain class. Maybe he built it just to have fun with. It's a fast car and I am sure you can have a lot of fun with it!!

I think Hardcore built it for bragging rights, and because they could build it. Not every car requires an NHRA or PRO class, there are still alot of people building cars to run for fun and to break records with. Keep in mind that this isn't their only drag car, they have a few others as well.

Think that is kickass! How much boost and rwhp does one need to push a car with X weight into the 7s? I guess I'm just curious around how much does the car weigh and what kind of power levels are needed? That car is flyin, congrats!
