Default Need Incon Part - Anybody Got It??

I am looking for a new oil distribution block, the one that sits right beside the oil filter and feeds the two turbos . . . anybody got one kicking around, or know where I can get a new one?

Thanks!

I would just have one made out of billet aluminum. Super easy to mill out!

Well, it's just a piece to divert oil flow I would agree, but from what Mike Brown says, it's got a checkvalve in there somewhere.

The block itself it nothing special.

The flow check valve goes inbetween the block and the Tee fitting that ends up feeding the turbos.

The check valve is a standard Parker Hydraulic part.

I looked at it and I can see straight through it! Looks like a adapter plate to me? You could just make one out of a peice of steel and a AN 90* fitting welded to it! grind the back side. IMO don't know for sure?

Yes, what Harlan said. It is the part between the block and the T that the lines screw onto. Easiest way to check it is. Start the car and let it run for a few minutes. Take off the oil feed lines. If oil continues to come out of the T fitting. It is stuck open.

Alright guys, thanks a bunch! The one question I have, is once you shut the car off, there is no oil pressure, so why would the checkvalve be needed? Or does it drain out simply because of gravity?

And oh yea . . . you guys should be able to tell me if this could be a cause of my problem. When we were dropping the new motor in, this stupid piece got caught on something and bent it . . . a little towards the back of the car, and a bit towards the oil filter. Could that have f*cked it up?

I think it's apparent that the turbo if full of oil for whatever reason, and the seals are actually fine. Would this problem also show up as oil on the hot-air side, the hose that runs to the intercoolers? I've got oil in there as well.

Sounds like too much oil pressure...try putting a restrictor in-line and see if that clears it up. The seals will re-seal with less oil pressure from what I have heard

I had the same problem with too much oil pressure and oil leaking into the turbo. So right after the block for the oil tap I have some fittings that have a nitrous jet in them to reduce the size of the feed.

No big deal just a heathy oil pump and on or turbos it isn't a big deal.

Check out Forcedperformance.com they sell a inline oil filter with a built in oil pressure restrictor for those GT Garrets.

Thanks a lot guys, I have had that thought in the back of my mind ( oil pressure too high ) but didn't voice it until Scott said so . . . I think my oil pressure is almost 60 at cold startup!!

Also . . . wouldn't a restricter only restrict flow, but not pressure? I thought pressure would stay the same?

And my buddy says that the center section actually has a restricter in it already . . .

The GT series already come withs a restrictor in the inlet of the CHRA. But in general adding a orifice will drop the flow and pressure in a dynamic system. Droping the flow to much will toast the bearings which is going to be more costly than the seals.

If you only have oil in the passenger side air hose and intercooler then it can be caused by the fresh air line running from the passenger side valve cover to just behind the air filter. You will quite a bit of oil in the intercooler.

Gary, what line are you talking about?? Where does it connect around the air filter?

I currently have a hose from the intake to the front of the passenger cover, with an inline PCV valve. Then another hose connecting the rear of the passenger cover to the rear of the driver cover.

Would there be enough oil in the intercooler to drip?
