Do Baby G-trims plus the bottle count? Maybe 750.
Built th400 and 4000 stall going in next week John.
I'll finally have the parts needed to run this hunk of scrap with a bit more power..

Sure do!

I've seen a few local deals for T-Trims Steve, like for $1100.

Are you running an intercooler?

I like my blower, but the future probably has "turbo" written all over it for me.

YS here. I still need to get the car tuned. It should make some good power.

YSi here, similar goals to Gator for now. Mild cam here as well. When the car's dialed in, it's all out from there.

I`m not so much shooting for a certain HP #, but I am looking for 9.5s or maybe even 9.2s. I`ve only made 7 runs with the Ttrim setup and the car only hooked on 1 of those runs and bounced off the rev limiter from 1000' to the traps. I`m using 28" slicks instead of 26", tightening up the converter from PT4400 to 3800 and a set of AFR 225s this year.

I have about 6 passes with the YS stuff and had belt slippage on every run. I lost the belt on most of passes. Since then I added a custom strut brace which should make a nice difference at the track. If I have more belt problems I might source a high flanged tensioner pulley. My goal is 8.99 I.. I mean 9.99.

Heya.
No pics. Looks like an S-Trim except a larger inlet.
It's an SQ Hybrid T-Trim. Just a bit more whistle than an SQ S-Trim. You can only hear it when you have another object like a wall or car opposite the front wheel well openings. It's just loud enough that people ask if I have a blower. Sounds good tho. Not obnoxious.

The .25" flanged pulleys Lee @ ASP made for me had another advantage. He makes the side flanges come in with a V shape which seems to really grab the belt nice like a glove. Think it may have picked up .5psi with the increased grip.

I believe laser or however bracket/pulley alignment with shims is def #1, but after that the flanges can help as a crutch before you move into crazy/complicated tensioner solutions. You could also increase tension maybe with a slightly larger pulley in one area (preferrably one that doesn't move, ie: not tensioner pulley).

We started with a Katech adjustable tensioner but found that a stock C5 tensioner was better. It's not too hard to fab up a tensioner. You just need to make a custom bracket, etc. Grab one of these to play with (cheap) -> Dayco Truck Tensioner P/N 89222.

Which pulleys are giving u a headache?
8-Rib?
Maxed out the MAF again today throwing a P0101.
Had to bump up from 28000 to 32000MHz.

P.S. Don't knock the Gates Laser alignment tool. It's a nice sanity check and not that expensive.

im shooting for 600RWHP on pumpgas with my 306 with around 14-15lbs of boost, and a small shot with the tiny little S-trim (made 530+ with old blower @ 8lbs + 50shpt). We make over 1200hp with the company car which has an X-trim on it

At 570rwhp there is more left in your T-Trim for sure.
Are you intercooled?
Fuel Pump/Injector limited?

Yes it can deffinately make more power. I never got the 6.0 S3 FI heads that I ordered from Jay @ Absolute . Mike Norris tuned the car with very low timing 14* and running rich 10.5- 11.0 AF to be safer on the non-FI cr. Also the converter was slipping 600rpm at higher rpms, the converter is too loose for this setup. With 9- 9.5cr, more timing(like 20-22*) and a tighter vert the car will do much better on the dyno and more important to me at the dragstrip . Yes it is intercooled and the fuel system is ok, unless I start making 850rwhp .

Why are you still feeding it through the aftercooler?

I ran a t-trim on my mustang last year. Even just with the 8 rib it went deep into the 9's. That's an underated blower.

My winter project is complete. I dumped my problematic C5 Vortech kit and switched to the RMCR C5 kit. I also upgraded from an S-Trim to a T-Trim head unit at the same time. I also added AFR 205s and a 220/224 115 Comp cam.

I need to hook the wideband back up and dial in the WOT AFR. It is slightly lean right now. I don't know when I will make it to the dyno to get numbers (the nearest one is an hour+ away).

With the heads/cam/new blower I am seeing 7.5 psi at my home altitude of 7000 feet. I don't want any more than that right now since I am still running the stock bottom end.

I am hoping to see 120 in the quarter (altitude 4900 feet) but we'll see what reality is.

The altitude here eats ~25%+ of my power so my numbers will be pretty weak compared to everyone else's.
