How much boost????????
How much boost???????? I have a custom procharger D!SC setup with front mount intercooler and a 4.0 pulley. I have mac shorties with an x-pipe with cats and billets out the back. 42 lbs ionjectors, I also have a 230/237 cam with a 112lsa and was wondering how much boost will I see with the following pulleys =

boost is going to be dependant upon a number o fthings... but primarily rpm of the blowers impeller... if you call ATI they can calculate the exact boost based on RPM and pulley size (crank and blower) . They can also give you an idea as to what max engine rpm you'll be able to crank the blower before the impeller speeds max out. Be a good idea to get in touch with them so you can plot out where you'll make maximum boost at any given rpm and gear range... imo 
Why is everyone so concerned about boost numbers. Do you realize that boost is a measure of resistance. If you take a totally stock engine and put a supercharger on it with an X diameter pulley, you will see lets say, 10psi and make 350rwhp. I am just throwing numbers out.
Take the same blower setup, same pulley, but put it on an engine with a blower cam, and great flowing heads, and you may see only 6psi on your boost gauge. The difference is that you will be making MORE power at LESS boost.
Also lets not forget our chemisty class. As pressure goes up, so does heat. Heat is your enemy as far as power is concerned

10lbs for a 4.00 pulley seems a little to high. I am hoping to run a max of 8lbs with the FMIC and above mods. Besides the cam all I have are 918 springs and hardened pushrods everything else is stock Its a 2002 m6.
