Overboost = 906rwhp/975rwtq
damn busy season saturdays!!! So they're working out the comp. code for BS3 to run knock sensors huh. That's gonna turn the world upside down.
I replaced the F1 blower to the F1-R still 3.85 pulley,
replaced the intercooler with a bigger one.
installed a prototype coil on cylinder ignition system for more boost later
replaced the headers with stepped 1 7/8 to a 2" to a 3 1/2 collector new bigger cats from kooks
above is completed and I am tuning
This should get me to 900RWHP from my current 822RWHP
Next step is water injection with more boost, but hopefully no more than 20psi
currently at 16psi with the F1.
That should get me to 1000RWHP
last step is new prototype heads, new casting better designed ports.
new oliver rods and je pistions dropping the compression from 10:1 to 9.3:1
Boost should come down as heads are more efficient, and power should be at 1100RWHP.
What coil on plug system? MSD? What heads do you mean when you say new casting? All Pro?

Hey Mighty Mouse, what kinda 6sp build do you have?

I'm assuming since this is a street car/daily driver/strip car...it retained the synchros?? Has anyone built a t-56 with straight gears like a jerico?
scott, that would be a good idea, but i allready have the pump running full blast. so the rising thing would only trim it back at lower boosts.
smokin: no heads are fine, coolant still full.. i def. know what to look for when that starts happening.. got much experience
john, you pay the tab and i would be delighted to do 20 pulls

esr, i have a small battery, but even then i would think the alternator would be able to supply the car with enough power... maybe alternator is weak? maybe vblaster is bad?
joe, that would be cool, i typically have to add 2psi to match my road psi on the dynojet. the info off to the right is the hp scale which is identical to the tq scale and it says uncorrected, 0 smoothing
the trans info is correct, you can contact him at 1gmman@comcast.net yes its syncro'd.

Is he a local guy?
David have you got to feel all that on a tire that hooks yet? Man I cant imagine how that would feel. I imagine it will feel like something that is out of control!!!
Meth and Alky are not cooling the intake charge because of their liquid state. It is when they turn to a gas state that cools the charge. It is the chemical reaction of turning from a liquid to a gas that cools the air stream.
Meth and alky are different that water as both will burn much hotter than gas, and meth more than alky. When water like the others turns to a gas state, it cools, thus cooling the incoming air and it is safer than the meth or alky. I misposted earlier about adding fuel to meth and alky, I was talking about NOS.
Does this help
1. Methanol (and alky if you are referring to ethanol) do not burn hotter then gasoline. Methanol and ethanol both have greater ability to dissipate heat (hint: latent heat of evaporation) then gasoline. Methanol burns cooler then ethanol which burns cooler then gas.
2. You talk about droplets being "too big" due to lack of pump pressure? First of all Meth has a low flashpoint and will vaporize easier then water making them more likely to reach the combustion chamber. Second, If large droplets of meth or water get sucked/forced into the combustion chamber, then they will vaporize there and do the job of removing heat as intended. Granted, problems could occur if the droplets puddled in the intake, which would be less likely for a meth injection system then water thanks to meth's low flashpoint. I really don't understand your reasoning that "If the meth drops were bigger, you could grenade the engine". Are you saying that liquid methanol in the combustion chamber will detonate?
Sorry for taking this off-topic...
I have done a little research but I recall that meth is better than water, but links would be appreciated.
Mouser it would be cool to see you click off some 160mph passes.

If you simply google search "methanol injection" you will find plenty of links which explain chemically how Meth can be used to not only control detonation but boost power over gasoline and water injection along the way.
thats cool, you arnt having head problems.
i remember back in the day where some un-named man didnt think you could go past the 700rwhp mark with out the heads warping, or weeping coolant.
sounds like he didnt know how to put them on or just had a bad tune.
