The 76-GTS probably trades a bit of air for slightly improved spooling. The mustang guys have been making this argument for a while now. So the spool impact on the M6 cars might payoff over the 1/4 mile.

We'll just have to see how the 80 to 76-GTS workout when the tracks get sticky.

I'm not sure what difference it would make... I think most systems use a 50/50 mix of meth and water.

The cool part is if he took off his heads, he'd probably have zero carbon deposits in it. Steam cleaning

nice #'s man. can't wait to get my turbo project going. still a while yet unfortunately. have fun and let us know your track times. i'd like to see your 60' times come down a lot too to run the appropriate 1/4 times for the mph you're running. 144 is bookin for only 9.9x's.

my logic is that a car would run beter with methanol as its only fuel vs. water as its only fuel so i run the methanol

Yeah and PM me! I might have a few that might be interested in watching as well. What did you mean by knock control Dave? IS the BS3 soon to incorporate knock sensors?

Ya know...I don't think anyone really knocked you for what you were trying to do with the blower and then going to run out on the salts for speedweeks out west but palease, keep the IAOTI coments to a minimum. Once Dave get's the surge figured out, I'm sure he can make close to the same numbers with what you have, spotting you the cubes. Actually, why don't you two take it up on looser pays dyno time and for a steak dinner? Just call me don king Two different approaches, still impressive, hella impressive. Dave...what do you think it woulda made off the alky?

Here is the delima, if you run anything but water, you have to add fuel to compensate. The whole point of injecting anything including just a 50 shot of Nitrous, is to cool the intake charge. It is only way around using race gas when your engine is using extreme pressures to make power.

But when you run, alky and meth, these are nice injections because of their vapor point. When these liquids turn to vapor they cause dramatic temp drops in the intake charge.

If you are using a Turbo and have a mishap like this person did in boost, if the snow device had a problem adding meth to the situation could be explosive.

Water is much safer and does the exact same thing, which is lower the intake temp. You would not want to use tap water, but distilled water.

flipper is working on it

my iat's are fine, i spray meth instead of using race gas, plain and simple... it doesnt foul oxygen sensors and it saves 80 bux a tank.

its been 635 on just pump gas. probably do 700 but i never turn it down that low anymore

there wasnt any kind of dangerous mishap.. there could have been if my e-boost didnt catch me boosting more than i told it i wanted to.

i do now wonder what it would have looked like at 5700rpm or so since it was 907 horse at 4700
