Stenod Performance is starting another project car...
Were Building up Kevin's (1BADWS6) white Formula WS6 this time as sort of our "Shop Car". Nothing crazy about it, but we hope to be able to run this car in the Extreme street class when it's done.
The car will be the following
Moser 9" with 3.90/4.10 gear
28x15x10.5W
Proshifted T-56 to start, changing over to a TH400 when he gets the $$$
Exeddy Twin Disk Clutch
We have decided the powerplant behind this pig is going to be a solid roller 347 inch LS1 with 6.0l truck heads. the orginal plans were to run a dished piston and GRP aluminum Rod in this car, but after extensive talks with the boys at APE (Nick D) and W2W (Kurt and engine building staff), we quickly decided against that! lol! seeing that we want to still drive this car on the street once in a while. Anyways, here's the engine combo we are deciding to run thanks to the guys at W2W and some help from the guys at APE.
LS1 block
Mahle 3.905 custom W2W turbo Pistons
Howards 6.125 4340 rods specd by W2W
W2W custom Ring stack
Stock crankshaft
Seeing that the largest Turbo's we can run in extreme street is either a single 82mm or a pair of twin 60's. We've decided to run the Twin 60-1 turbonetics turbo's. The guys at AGP turbo have been great in helping us out with getting turbo's and getting them to us quickly. We should have turbo's and the wastegates by the end of the week. The turbo's will be mounted high and in front of the engine with the radiator stood straight up and down for more clearance.
You guys can stay up on our project by checking out our website. www.stenodperformance.com in the picture gallery section. We have some five pictures of the project so far, but mainly just of the cage we started bending up that last few nights.
Should be a fun project. We'll keep you guys updated

When are you going to post pictures of Derty's new turbo beast? Or is that car top secret.
Tom
Sounds awesome, but remember what we expect of you guys...the bar is rather high! You guys are just completely hardco.....oops never mind!
Beyond that, no pictures or no comments from myself. It will get done when it gets done. Hopefully later this summer I can drive it again.
Cam is going to be sort of big, not outragous though.
pretty sure the specs are somewhere in the area of high 250's low 260's duration @ .050 680's lift and running on a 115LSA. Just a small turbo cam

Tom- Once we get the rest of the rear bars in, most of the cage structure will be supported off the main hoop and the rear shock tower area. But derty's picture does make it hard to see the 6x6 1/8 plate added to the car back there.

forgive my ignorance, but how many cubes is a 3.9xxx stroke gonna be? cause thats a huge FI cam isnt it?
edit: i guess its a 347. man, good luck, thats a huge cam!
At least that is my understanding.
That sounds like a cool project. Should rip.
