Default HUGE Thanks to Mike Brown and some dyno numbers!

Well, I can't thank Mike Brown enough. I purchased his Incon kit and transmission from him and he also did the install. Mike graciously waited for months on me while I gathered parts that I wanted installed while he had the car. I couldn't be happier with the install! The car is above and beyond my highest expectations already and we're not even pushing it yet

The motor is stock except for 918 springs and a TR224/224 .563/.563 on a 114. Motron 60's. Trans is a th400 w/3800 stall. Stock rear.

Funny story on the first dyno pull. The guy driving the car gets the car up and rolling and the guy running the dyno starts screaming "Abort" Abort". Well, I come close to having a heart attack! The tuner shuts the car down immediately. The operator tells us that the car was seeing 14 #'s of boost!

Well, we figured out what was going on with the 14 #'s of boost problem. The passenger side wastegate was binding and got stuck shut! The car was a monster, but we had to abort the run because I thought that was a little risky with stock internals With 14 PSI it did 587/610 at a measly 3900 RPMs(when we aborted). This is on a MustangDyno!
After we got the kink lined out, we finally got it steady at 6 pounds. It did 499/467 with a really rich tune just to keep things safe till I get a motor/rear for her. Thats about a 160 HP gain for me, so I am still grinning from ear to ear!
Thanks again for everything Mike!!

Wow, 587/610 on a mustang dyno...I'm glad to see nothing blew. So how much power are the INCON kits worth anyways?

587/610 at a measly 3900 RPMs

I need a shortblock, I need a shortblock, I need a shortblock.

and a 9"....

by the way, you could do 8 to 8 1/2# safely.
and have a 600rw daily driver.

Welcome to the dysfunctional Incon family, our for fathers have left us like a bunch of basturd childrens. (side note... I think 2 of the 3 fastest turbo lsx cars have owners who started w/ Incon kits. 700rw training wheels if you will)

Congrats on the install! One of these days I'll need to look up Mike. My car needs the tuning sorted out, post alky install. Hoping for a 10 psi tune on a stock motor

LOL, ain't that the truth

You'll never be the same again! 9 psi on a built LS1 and my truck is just starting to feel "ok"

We need a 12 step program

Congrats!

A mustang dyno and a dynojet are very close in numbers. I have seen them both back to back tested. A dynojet would make about the same power.

i was always under the impression that dynojet numbers were usually higher because it doesnt put as much load on the car?

Thanks guys!!!! Appreciate that very much. Yep, this was with the stage 2 turbos. And I know what you mean TTSSZ, I was trying to convince the shop to throw in a free forged 370 w/a 9 inch for every dyno tune, but they wouldn't do it!!
