At the LS1Tech race in Atlanta I noticed that both big Ricks car(HPE) and Mike/Steves(Ohio boys) car were running a tunnel ram stile Wilson manifold w/throttlebody, the same one that Judson uses on the Orange SAM car.

you guys are refering to the single plane intake with elbow hes asking about the F.A.S.T manifold from what Ive heard they are not too good unless you somehow secure the mapsensor on the back, the ls6 intake has taken fbodies into the 8's soo that answers the question of "is the ls6 intake good for boost" my vote would be the ls6

so, in boost condition the LS6 intake would really be a "big" (more than N/A) improovent over LS1..

I remember remember reading a while back that they could not take more than 10psi. That was around when they first came out and I'm assuming that F.A.S.T. wisely fixed that issue.

We custom secure the MAP sensor to the rear of the intake. We've seen 10 lbs on them so far but should see a lot more on another STS car we are doing now. If I am correct the burst panels blow around 32 psi, so I would say the intake has to be good for at least a few psi before the burst. ~28-30 ?

Not to go off topic, but I have heard that the new Truck 6.0 manifold will outflow even the ls2. Won't fit on an f-body or vette though.
