Default PCV systems with procharger

How do you all have this set up? I have seen some guys cap off valve that comes from passenger side valve cover, and run the driver side to > well not sure where they run it to??? If you are capping off inlet hat from blower, where are you routing it to? Pictures would be great!!!!

My other questions is > if you are running a breather cap on valve cover will you always see some smoke?

Last question is > is a better to run the standard cap or a breather with blowe application?

I run breathers on the valve covers, LS6 valley cover>PCV>AMW catch can>mcmaster check valve>intake manifold. You will get some smoke out of the breathers at WOT but with the PCV there should be none at cruise or idle if the rings are decent.

You can run the vent to ATI inlet hat like they sell it but you wil get oil in the blower inlet after a while, since the outer housing isnt sealed a lot of people think its the blower dripping oil when the car sits but its actually the oil from the vent leaking out - unless the oil thats dripping is very light green, then its ATI oil

This has worked fine on the last two ATI cars I had and looks clean under the hood.

kp, aren't your LTFT messed up because of the breather?
I tried it but cells 0..5 went maybe +10. They were -2 before the breather.
I put a second small catckcan between the valecover and the blower inlet - no more leaks so far.
Agree with your setup "PCV>AMW catch can>mcmaster check valve>intake manifold". Same here.

Dont know, the MAF flow is so far out of whack with these at low speed every procharger I do I have to go on and fool with the MAF numbers below 3600hz to keep the idle and cruise LTFTs in line with the rest. After about 15 minutes all my LTFTs are a little negative and the car has no surging or stalling whatsover. Probably not the 'right' way to do it but I have probably 15-20 procharged LS1s out there and not a complaint

Hard to tell from picture > is that a T fitting from valve cover into lines?
Where did you get check valve from?

The check valve lots of folks are using :

P/N# 7775k52

http://www.mcmaster.com

You will need to get barbed fittings to screw into both ends, I got them at Dixieline.

Cheers,

Hard to see with the regulator in place now (but looking at that pic I just took I finally found the -6 AN fitting I lost last week ) but there is no T, just straight from the LS6 valley cover to the the PCV to the catch can. If you dont want to do the LS6 valley cover (some blocks require some grinding) ypu just hook the catch can up to PCV, then go from the catch can to the check valve to the manifold. Being a 98 I was able to fund a tiny K&N breather that fit right on the LH valve cover PCV fitting - its kinda cute.

Is the check valve I have been using.

Do you have the valve cover caped off? (The little fitting that 90*s from top of pass. side valve cover) I have all the parts for the LS6 vally cover, and I just have to find the time...what kind of PCV vavle are you using?

Yes the original vent line fitting that used to go to the TB is capped off. Like tici said it may throw your trims off depending on what you had hooked up when it was tuned though so keep an eye on them.

Stock PCV valve.

I would just run that line to the with a T from the valve cover to the PCV valve. Then use the Check valve that I posted there and be done with it. If not cap it off.

I just ordered the check valve > now the stupid question! On the little picture it shows a flow direction > which way should it flow? I would guess towards manifold???

yes, the arrow points toward the intake, it prevents manifold pressure from getting into the crankcase. You will also need a couple 3/8 barb X 1/4 Male NPT fittings but you can get those at a hardware store.
