Price cuts for FI kits?

Price cuts for FI kits? Has anyone heard anything that might indicate a foreseeable price drop for any of the current FI kits? With the turbo kits becoming more and more popular it would be nice to see some price cuts due to the added competition. I realize HP costs money, but the price for these kits seems a little ridiculous. 5-6k for the kit and necessary fuel upgrades, and that doesn't even include installation, not to mention a tune.
I make a decent living and really want a D-1SC, but I could get H/C installed, full suspension, rims, and still have some money left over compared to what a S/C costs. I'm not trying to break bad on any of our sponsors, but I'm just curious if anyone else feels the same way I do?

More and more popular is a bad sign. I'd honestly look toward other methods of gaining HP to drop in prices than for FI. Just lately I'd say turbo's are becoming mainstream for Fbodies. Superchargers have been out for longer but I can't see those fluxaiting by much. Who knows maybe H/C/I type setups will drop in price if more and more people go to FI.
5-6k is just the down payment for the total package...if you go FI you'll need/want lots of other stuff that is expensive. Do a search. The s/c or turbo kit is 50% or less of the total package. For most cars done right it's more like 1/3 or 1/4 the total.

I would do the install myself so there's no extra for that, and I already have all the bolt-ons. So what other costs are there? I would think that about does it.
