Default Race-Prep Tune, 6psi, STS, NO Meth, Stock longblock+cam, Stock manifolds = 450RWHP!

Well,
We finally got MY car on the dyno with the new STS GT76 turbo and with 6psi the car put down over 450RWHP and over 420RWTQ. I am very pleased with this as I have more of a nitrous cam in there (224/230/114). I am seeing max boost by 3000 RPM and makes peak power at just under 6000 RPM. I originally got this kit together to put on a larger engine so it will spool even better than that when I get the long block done. Now all I have to do is turn up the wick!

I am very suprised to see a 76 at full boost by 3k.

I had 6 psi by 3.5k with my 76R and a .81 a/r on my rear mount setup, stock motor. Only problem was that the R wheel flows so much exhaust that I couldn't boost much higher. I have a .68 a/r housing on the way to try it again

What a/r housing and what turbine wheel?

P.S. I made 430 rwhp on 6-7 psi with my 67 p-trim turbo You need to get into the 10 psi range to really start making that 76 happy on a 346 motor.

My A/R is a .81 for now, when the big engine goes in I will likely up it to a .96 or higher to achieve the hopefully 900-1000whp I am after with this car. Man I am very suprised to see ho well this thing is working! One piece of advice I can give to other STS owners is to weld or seal the joint in the I pipe where the Y pipe attaches, mine was leaking a decent amount of pressure there and that could be where you all are having problems, exhaust leaks will reak havoc on turbo systems, even small ones.

Also to let everyone know the air temps out here are NEVER lower than about 100 even at night, it was 110 in the shop that evening, and I think there might be a little more in it with some more timing, we got no knock at all so there is likely more in it when it cools off out here!

Thanks for the kind words, but It gets the same max boost RPM on the street or the dyno so it should easily do better than high 12's. I did 12.5's on a 80 shot at 3000'DA with a 2.3 60'. As it is making more power and I have a much improved 60' capability than before (suspention and tires) it should do very well.

Let me get my dyno operator/tuner to transfer the images I am not much of a computer guru, I will try to get it up tomorrow when he comes in.

can you run subframe connectors with the sts kit? I wouldn't want to run it if not.

Pass. side is fine but the driver side you can't although the STS charge pipe is very sturdy and ties in like a sub connector, I actually had to cut mine out on the driver side. I really would't worry about it I could not tell the diffrence, not to mention if you get one you will need a roll bar anyway and that is a much better frame stiffner anyway! Custom ones could be made for the Hardcore racers.

If you can 60' there is plenty of power to make a low 11sec. pass, why do you doubt so? Hell there has been guys run 10's with a stock engine and a shot of spray! I had a customer that went 11.90 with a completely stock car and a 150 shot and he only 60'd a 1.99! Take .29 from that and you have a 1.7 60' which is very doable in street trim and you will be in the 11.30's with less power than I have to the wheels. Now I understand I need to 60' a 1.7 ish to accomplish this but there is a glide with a brake and 4000 stall, ETstreets, and skinnies up front and draglites all around coming soon!! It would be fun to try for 10's with only like 2 more lbs of boost!
