Default T76 rear mounted setup at 14 psi dyno

Let me give you guys the setup first. It's a stock bottom end with a cam :p Head have never been off the car to my knowledge. 73000 miles on the clock. Mods are in the sig. Turbo is a ITS Dual Ball Bearing T76 with a R trim exhaust wheel in a .70 a/r housing.

Here is the excuse list.
little less than 1/2 tank of 91, mixxed in 6 gallons of 100 octane. 60% meth 40% water in the alky kit. Car will not make full boost on the dyno the way it does on the street of course since it's a non load bearing dyno. In fact on the street it will creep to 15 psi vs the 14 psi creep I will see on the dyno. All settings on the boost controller were set 100% so that it was just running to what ever the gate would allow it. My biggest problem was I kept spinning the ET streets on the dyno. I'm going to dyno again in a few weeks with nittos. Chunking ET streets is not cool.

On one decent pull that didn't slip quite as much, the car made it to

625 RWHP

I'm getting the data logs hopefully tomorrow or Thurs, then I will post the graphs. I have a 605 pull with some spin I'll scan in tomorrow and post up.

I'm just amazed at how well this car runs. My guess is that on the street when it hits 15 psi i'm around 650 rwhp. The spring just isn't good or consistant for anything past 11 psi unless it has a lot of load (3rd & 4th gear brake boosting).

For those wondering about spool, it makes 13 psi around 4300 on the street and 15 by 5500 as it slowly creeps. On the dyno it hits 13 psi around 5200.

Nice numbers, but do you have any idea of how much you gained at the same boost you were running with the t67? I'm trying to decide if I should switch.

I love to see what a t-70 would do on your setup. I am putting to gether my 408 with a 76. I ve been wondering if it is to much turbo.

Thats awesome dude, I don't guess you can have anybody riding with you. You've got your ***** sitting in the passenger seat... crazy.

^a 76 is not too much turbo for a 408 by any means.

Yeah like armagedon said..... yell it might not be big enough..... look at the compressor map and compare it to how much CFM the 408 can flow.....

Awsome numbers...

go find a load bearing dyno

thats why I love that Synergy has the Dynapak.

load bearing and since it bolts the hubs none of this wheel spin, have 12 people sit in the trunk crap

awesome numbers, every time I read your posts it makes me feel that much better about planning to run 10psi thru the stock motor. keep up the good work!

No such thing as too much turbo, just not enough motor The 76 starts to come alive over 10 psi which is fine for me. A 76 is a little on the smaller side for a 408. I will be upgrading mine to an 80 in the future.

What do you mean riding with me? It's a street car and I have passangers all the time (I make them sit on a towel though when i'm on highboost). I was a passanger in my car on 13 psi this weekend when my friend was driving. Yes, I let someone else drive the car, but his previous cars make mine look slow ET wise. He is the guy that has built the kit into what it is now, I just do all the tuning on stuff.

I can even have passangers in the car at the track on midnight mayhem nights which is pretty cool, but bad for times :p

My ***** aren't in the passanger seat, but they do migrate towards the back of the seat upon accelleration.

sounds like if you put it on a load bearing dyno, the numbers would significantly decrease. put it on a mustang dyno.

any takers on when it will blow?
