Default Built a dual nozzle alcohol system

I built this system from scratch mostly from brass hex stock. I know there are plenty of well made systems you can buy. I just enjoy fabricating my own parts.

The nozzles and feed blocks I made from 5/8" Brass stock. The nozzles use a swirl insert like the McMaster nozzles. I just built them to suit my needs to fit the bungs I welded into my outlet pipe. I also improved upon the McMaster design for a little better atomization IMO. The system right now is just constant flow tripped by a WOT switch. It's a full flowing return system using a bleed jet in the return line to control nozzle pressure. It flows about 21GPH at 100psi. I'm working on a return cutoff device activated by boost for progressive flow without the need for a pump controller. I'm using a Shurflo pump with the pressure switch bypassed and I modified the windshield reservoir for a feed and return fitting.

Are you spraying that through the MAF? I think most systems inject as close to the TB as possible.

No the maf is on the inlet side of the blower.
I have tried nozzles at the throttle body, before the blower inlet, 1,2,3 and 4 nozzle setups. IMHO it does not make much difference where the nozzles are except that before the blower it does not work as well.
Plus my N2o nozzle and IAT sensor are right before the TB->

Thanks guys. I'm just having fun making stuff with my new mini lathe.

Are you getting any bog when it first kicks in? BTW all the work looks really nice, top notch! Where did you get the noid and all the purchase items?

Thanks,
No, I have never had any bog with any of the systems I have built. The problem has always been getting the flow in fast enough which is why I use a noid and keep the pump humming at 140psi for instant flow when activated. To get the motor to bog takes a lot of volume.

The purchase items- noid is a Nitrous Works small fuel solenoid(when using high methanol %'s I put a teflon seat in it) but any decent solenoid will work, just the typical Shurflo pump most systems use from Northern-Tool, stainless braided pvc lined hose good for 350psi you can get at a Home Depot racer supply store, and some switching and wires.
I use the system mainly for IAT cooling , I'm able to run pump gas at 10psi and 20' timing and for fine tuning the total A-F ratio at wot without messing with the laptop which is what I really love about the system.

Do you have the model # for the pump? I went to the Northern tool site but wasnt sure which pump for this application. I think I might try one of these but will probably buy nozzles from Snow. I asked every guy on my block and no one has a Mini Lathe I can borrow

ahh yes the old days .. Should hit the track pretty soon. Been fixing up our trailer and working on the car at same time.

here you go-http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...0&N=118+768400
you can use either the 1.8GPM or 1.0 GPM. Either will flow plenty and I have used both but the 1.8 can run up a little more pressure. These pumps are used in most kits.
Pretty sure Snow and many others use nozzles similar or the same as sold through McMaster, Hago, lechler etc.
They are pretty cheap from McMaster.com though.

Just a wot switch with a relay. I run the pump when ever I feel I will go WOT, then the noid is activated at WOT. With the blower and a 4000+ stall, my rpm's never go below 5500rpm and I shift at 6400-6500. Not a huge rpm band to deal with.
I may build a boost referenced return pinch valve to ramp up pressure with boost without messing with pump voltage or speed.
Probably don't need it but it'll be fun to make.

So then this winter when you get bored you'll start selling the kits to us, right?
