Really nice times but how much exactly did the 10PSI bring you down? Damn and you have stock internals, isnt that unhealthy for the motor?? What injectors are you using?

From my website: (hint, hint)

4.10" pulley at 5 PSI, 36# injectors, no headers, SY3500

.72 60'
4.93 330'
7.63 1/8 ET
91.00 1/8 MPH
11.92 1/4 ET
115.32 1/4 MPH

3.20" Pulley at 10 PSI, 42# Injectors, headers, SY3500

1.65 60'
4.60 330'
7.07 1/8 ET
99.49 1/8 MPH
10.98 1/4 ET
125.83 1/4 MPH

Yeah... it's probably as unhealthy as heck!

I can't give you that advice... that is for you to decide. I will tell you what I "feel".

I feel that 7 or 8 PSI is the max boost I'd run if I wanted a stock internals motor to last. I THINK 5 or 6 PSI would be safest. I think around 450 RWHP is the most one could reasonably expect for the motor to last more than a couple of summers.

PLEASE don't come back on the board and say I made you blow your motor up because you ran 8 PSI. This is my opinion only. TIFWIW.

Yes I had already seen ur website its Awesome! I love that damn car. I just asked because their was no before and after times but now i know! Im thinking of just running 8 PSI because 10 sounds like to much.
BlackLS1TA i was wondering if you can answer a question for me: If i run 8 PSI to I have to forge my internals? Because i want to run the Supercharger safely without harming the internals and i hear alot on this board that my internals will mess up. What PSI is safe?
Thanks...

We have the ATI ProCharger P1-SC kit on our HPS WS6 Project car and installed it when the kits first came out back in October of last year. With the original kit at only 3-4 psi of boost, the car gained 120 rwhp from 349 rwhp to 469 rwhp. We then put the correct pulley on the car (later updated by ProCharger) to up the boost to the 5 psi as advertised and the car put 489 to the rear wheels . We then added one of our HPS custom grind camshafts and a set of Stage II Ported Heads and the car made 581 rwhp . The car now has 42 lb injectors with the heads and cam added. On the few passes at the track, the car has run a best of 11.07 at 125.19 mph on the blower with 7 psi of boost. All of this is on the stock bottom end. Now obviously, we are pushing the limits of the stock short block and this is not a daily driven car.

Email if you have any specific quetions on the setup for your car. We are a new sponsor of LS1Tech and have been working with the ProCharger kit for some time now. www.horsepowerstore.com

Eggszellent!

How did you start with 349 RWHP with the WS6? Headers and exhaust? What else?

Sounds like ya'll do good work! Nice looking store front.

Those are some good #'s Horsepower... After I see more reliable setups rolling around I am going to take the plung myself.. I have the shortblock that can take the abuse. I just have to swap out my heads and drop my compression.

I am just curious about your compression on your setup HPS WS6?

Right now we have the stock bottom end in the car, so it is stock compression.

We know it is a little on the risky side, but want to see how far the stock bottom end and stock T-56 tranny will go.

The 150 shot that we ran on the car is a little rich on the fuel pill to be a little more conservative and not to run lean, if you can say that blower and nitrous on a stock bottom end is conservative.

Plan to take it to the track again soon and try to run that 9-second ET on the stock bottom end with the stock tranny.

Wow. 3.00" Pulley too.
Any plans to swap the P1-SC for a D1-SC? Could help get ya to the 9's, but they aren't far away either way.

Sorry not to clarify earlier.

The numbers above are on the blower, but we also have run both a 100 and 150 shot Nitrous kit on the car as well.

On the 100 shot, the car went 10.3 at 137 mph and with the 150 shot the car has gone a best of 10.15 at 140.46. The mph is definately there for a 9-second pass, but I think the stock T-56 tranny is holding the car back from it right now.

We plan to upgrade to the F1 Blower or something similar to get to high teen lower 20 psi of boost for the car. Obviously, this will be on a new engine built for this, and yes the Nitrous will be coming off with that set-up.

That is flying.. I cant believe that motor is still together.. I always thought you could run Nitrous and boost at the same time and get good times secondary to the cooling effect of the Nitrous, but DAMN!!!

I was just reading the specs on your car.. You must be shifting like a jack rabbit. You even have 4.11's.. On the street when just running the blower and street tires with the 4.11's is it even streetable? The gears would seem too much with 580rwhp..

This message is directed to the Horsepower store Rep but anybody else that can help…I’d appreciate it. Before any mods my car dynoed at 300 RWHP. A couple months ago I installed a procharger 8psi kit with the D-1 compressor. This kit supposedly gives 560 HP at the flywheel on a completely stock F-body. I then installed Mac Headers and an offroad Y pipe. There is also an exhaust cutout after the Y pipe. These aren’t my only mods but they're probably the only ones that would affect my situation. I had my car dynoed at Car Craft on Sunday 7-21. Although the weather conditions were less than good to say the least it only put out 419 RWHP without Nitrous. 560HP with a 15% drivetrain loss would be about 476 to the rear. I was expecting at least 450 plus whatever the headers added but needless to say I'm slightly disappointed. Could this be a computer-tuning problem? I do not have O2 sims but I was told this only affects the check engine light and does not affect tuning. When I had the car dynoed before the charger with a 150 shot I was at 440 RW with no headers. What is going on here? The Mac headers required me to remove my EGR system. They made the headers for 98-99 & 01-02 models. So I just removed it all and plugged the hole in the manifold with an expansion plug. I don’t know if maybe this could have also messed up some tuning parameter but I wouldn’t think so. EGR is not supposed to function at WOT anyway. On your project car you’re running your procharger and 100-150 shot of nitrous? What kind of fuel are you using for that. I have access to 110 octane race fuel but I’ve only tried a 40 shot. That’s when I thought I was already making upwards of 480 to the rear wheels. Little did I know….Before the headers I was at 8-9 psi with the 3.20 pulley. It would occasionally spike to 10psi for a split second. Now with headers I am at 7-8 psi with the split second 9psi spike. I’m just trying to give you all the info because I have no idea what the problem is. I’d like to figure it out instead of just going to the 3.0 pulley or adding more N2O. What kind of boost increase do you get going to a 3.0” from a 3.20”? Just curious. My target is about 490 RWHP without nitrous so if anybody can help me with these problems maybe I can get there. Thanks guys.
