Default Custom ARP Head Studs- Who's interested

Hey all, I've contacted ARP about making some head studs out of better material than the currect offering(8740 Chrome Moly 190,000psi T/S), so we possibly won't stretch the studs under moderate to high boost and lift the heads so easily or blow head gaskets for peace of mind, the two materials we are researching for numerous reasons I won't get into are ARP 2000 material at 220,000psi T/S at about 10% stronger, and also Inconel 718 material at about 250-260,000psi T/S, I'll have pricing on both and will post them ASAP, to make this cost effective we need as many people as possible to bring the price down to a livable level, I had them quote me for 5 sets and also 10 sets, 10 or more would be great, I think the price would be pretty good and the quality of materials would be quite a bit better. For reference the C5R head studs are about 250,000psi and go for $920 for the 20 large(11mm?) studs only, no small studs or nuts and washers. So, lets get an idea of how many are willing to commit and go from there.

I thought the problem was the heads warping between the cylinders, not the inability of the fastners to hold things down???

If these solved the problem then I would be in for a set, if they don't then I am going to have ARE machine the block with their method.

Well I think that both of the above are a problem, but I think if the studs aren't strong enough to keep the heads down then they would probably warp the heads easier with to much stretch-not high enough tensile strength, I asked the seller's of the C5R studs if anyone has lifted the heads with those studs and the answer was no because they won't stretch under high pressure(they said 30psi! tested) and they have lifted the heads with the ARP 8740 studs at about 15 psi, that being said I came to this hopeful solution, I also thought long and hard about sending my block and head to ARE for their special machine work 9/16" studs plus other work I amagine they do, but at this point for me it's cost prohibitive, so I'm doing the next best thing

OK, Here's the deal... ARP and I decided the best material for the money will be the ARP 2000(220,000psi), Inconel 718 is actually only 220-225,000psi and is twice as expensive-not a good deal and anything higher than that get's way out of touch for me and most others I would imagine- $50-$1,000 per stud.. ouch when you need 30 of them. So if I get 10 people besides me we can get the whole set of (30) ARP 2000 studs (20 large and 10 small), 30 nuts and 30 washers and the the price is better than expected, for 1 set alone it's about $1,500, but we can get together for 11 or more sets total it drops down to an amazing $365 plus shipping <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> , I'm excited and would like to get this rolling, contact me if you'would like to get a set and I'll keep the board updated, Thanks Dave

Will they also provide gaskets?
What amount of boost will they hold up to?

I'm interested, that a good price

no gaskets included, I can get Cometic gaskets at a good price, I can't give a specific amount of boost they will hold there are way to many factors to consider to give you an accurate answer, all I can say is it will handle more than the standard ARP studs for sure.
