Default Sold my stang ready FI!!!

I just sold my 97 GT Stang for $7500 cash so I am ready to start my build. I have a 98 T/A and in the next 3 months I want to build a 1000 RWHP capable daily driver. I have a certain amount I can spend on everything and so far my $10,000 car budget was successful at buying the car for $6,000 with a few things wrong with it. Now as far as the FI, I would like to go SC, but I hear that either a single 88 turbo or maybe 2 T60's would get me the power I want. Has anyone heard of a GTQ trim turbo, just asking around on the web to different places, 2 GTQ trim turbos would work the easiest and provide more power. Any input would be great.

dont mean to spoil anything, but with a 10k budget, that will get you the turbo kit and possibly fuel. that doesnt incorporate a new rear end, suspension mods, drivetrain mods, and a forged motor.

Your looking at closer to 30k for that much power. Good luck.

That is the trim of the turbine wheel. It doesn't say anything of the rest of the turbo. You will probably be looking at one of the T88's for the kind of power you are looking for, probably a mid frame. If you want to go twin's, a pair of GT35R's with the 56 trim wheel would do nicely.

Default thanks

I think I may want some room to grow so are the twin 56 mm's too small for that? I have been talking to a guy at NLM and he was telling me about them, I think they are 70's, but not sure. I am leaning towards some twins for less lag on the street and Twins are more rare I would suppose.

Save yor money up, Hi-Flo has a kit coming out I believe. Unless your going to build your own. For your budget a big single might be the way to go. Two of everything starts to get expensive.

I am thinking about letting a shop doing a twin setup, like maybe Stenod or waiting on High Flow. Time is everything to me and I will be contacting all of the shops I can about this and see what I can get done in a reasonable amount of time. Again I have around or a little more than $10,000 just to spend on the actual TT or big single setup. I have more money fuel setup, suspension, etc.

The GT35R's are a 56 trim, they are 61mm turbo's. I put down 498 whp out of hybrid one on a 4 cylinder at 25 psi. 67's are good turbo's too, but are starting to get on the larger side. They should still be pretty streetable though.

What size engine are you going with? That is going to make a huge difference in turbo selection.

I guess I probably need to ask that question then, I want a 427, but after reading I see that I may need to go smaller?? How about a 408 or even a 6.0 decked and honed? I will ask the Q.
