Default Best low impedance injectors...

What are the best low impedance fuel injectors??? I want something with good atomization and part-throttle response. I see that Siemans, MSD, etc. all have offerings...

Thanks,

Scott

I have 36# versions of these which are the same style as the stock ones. They work GREAT.

Thanks guys,

I will give precision a call tomorrow...I am looking for a price/performance perspective on this.

I will post what I find out.

Thanks,

Scott

Well, this is a toss up at this point...I'm not sure that anyone agrees which one is better.

The guy I talked to at Precision said they no longer carry the Siemans Deka injectors because they had people that were having problems with them. They carry Bosch and Delphi

Another company that I called said that they don't use anything but Bosch and SD because they were having pressure problems with the MSD/Delphi injectors not scaling.

I think that the Bosch are probably the best injectors out there, but I can get a set of much cheaper SD injectors, so I am settling on a SD 83 lb/hr. for $425 and buying the converter for $375...so by selling my MSD 50s (brand new) for $550 I will be in another $250 for a lot more piece of mind

Bosch typically has better consistency from injector to injector.

Delphi's don't, but better shops will match them, like PTE does.

As you get larger and larger, the injector accuracy and spray pattern get worse and worse.

Have to ask at this point, what is a bad spray pattern? Used to be that a good mist, cone type spray pattern was best. Recently, some injectors have a small stream type of injection. I believe the LS1 injectors are this way, and people have discussed if this is a change in strategy for sequential injection, where the fuel is sprayed on a closed intake valve, and the stream uses the intake valve to better atomize the fuel before entering the chamber.

Something to think about

Anyways, I'd find out how big of an injector you need, and size it appropriately to something that will have a 70-80% duty cycle. I've had good results with the 50lb/hr Delphi, as well as the 75lb/hr units. I used some Seimans 55lb/hr and they were Ok as well. You are a bit limited in that range, so it's hard to really pick and choose.
