Mike,

Is this a combination crank/blower pulley in one, or is it like the ATI and just fits inside the stock dampner? And how does the promotion deal you mentioned work? i would like to jump on one soon, to check it out and see how it works. If you could e-mail me any other info also, i would be greatly appreciative.

I may have to try this when I up my boost from the 4.5 to 5 PSI of the 4.10" pulley. I'm sure if I put the 3.20" pulley back on, I will be slipping like a big-dog.

To keep the boost up, I have to tighten the belt more than I'm comfortable with.

Two questions:

1. What size belt would come with that 7.875 / 4.10 inch combination?

2. If we got a group purchase up, can that sweeten the deal?

Anyway... that price beats $1500 for a Cog or $500 for an 8-rib.

ZYA_LTR@HOTMAIL.COM

Yep works just like the stock ATI pulley. We are setting it up on a car right this minute. We have a 3.40" pulley on the blower which only made about 7psi on a 382 motor. Based on my calcs it will be about 18 psi with the new pulley. We'll probably end up with about a 3.85" pulley when it's all done, but we are going to run the car up to about 4000rpm to see how the boost curve looks!!!

When you purchase the pulley online use promo code in the checkout to get the add'l discount. The promo is MMSLAUNCH. It is limited to the first one hundred orders placed since the launch of the new site. It will automatically stop working when we reach that.

2. No plans on a GP. The price online is already an introductory price. Plus I am still allowing the online order discount.

Here's an update.

Just tested out a car with just a crank pulley swap.
We picked up 150 RWHP at 4100 rpm from before.

It had a 3.40" blower pulley. Now it hits 10 psi as soon as I floor it. Anyway we have to address the fuel system and get a smaller belt since the tensioner is bottomed out.

We're switching to a 3.85" pulley which should get us our 13-15 psi @ 6500 rpm.

It was nice to see a s/c'd LS1 Fbody make some boost though.

At that point I realized I could go bigger. But if I went too big, then I wouldn't be able to fit a blower pulley for low boost settings.
We tested an 8 rib setup on another customers car. We had to shim the blower and it really never fit right. These were made by someone else. It was a 7" pulley. After some calcs I realized that I could have similar surface contact with a 6rib and a bigger diameter.

With the stock crank and 3.4" the blower at 4100rpm was spinning at 29,665rpm.

With you crank and 3.4" the blower at 4100rpm is spinning at 38,935rpm.

Basically with stock crank pully, you wouldn't normally hit 39,000rpm until 5400rpm with a 3.4".

Your 7.875" w/ a 3.4" is equivalent to the stock crank with a 2.59" blower pulley.

Actually, that combo would max out the blower at 6500rpm.

3.85" sound perfect for your pulley. It would be about 10psi or so at 6000rpm. Hmmm....

Nice work Mike!

Actually the 3.85" will make more than that. The boost curves aren't blower rpm dependent. We ran a 3.85" on a c5 and was making 10 psi at about 5800 rpm. That was with a 7.5" crank pulley. We are using it on a 385 ci motor so it will drop a bit, but I plan on about 12ish at 6k and probably close to 13-14@6700rpm.
I may have it on the dyno tomorrow.

CamaroGod, I'm with Black LS1 T/A on this one, if you can do it, than prove it, i was/am all about buying this setup, i wanted your 8-rib setup, but when you came out with the second price of over 500 bucks, that scared most people away, and so if Mike can provide us with a 6 rib setup, to eliminate shimming the blower, which noone wants to do, and give us more contact to eliminate slippage, then he's got my money, so unless you can produce a 6 rib pulley in thuis dimension soon, Mike will be getting my money here soon, as long as i can get in on the 10% promotion. I tried to email you about the setup, but you still haven't posted prices? when can we expect something? if not everyone will be jumping on the MMS bandwagon.

I have a 3.2 inch pulley, but with my motor I want to run 15-16 psi, do you have a crank to go with it and belt to get me that much psi or do I have to by the 3.4 and crank pulley from you. If so what is the cost for the 3.4 procharger pulley/ the size and price of the crank pulley and belt. thanks

check my set up , what boost would you run.

What do you mean with put up or shut up?

Ive decided not to make any 6 rib setups. It was mike morgans idea and im not going to steal it from him.

Even though i could make these in my sleep with one hand tied behind my pack haning from a tree upside down in the dark.LOL

I will just make the 8 rib setups if anybody still wants them and if not I will just move on to the corvette crowd who dosent care what stuff cost. The mazak wont get fired up until the first of January as im going on vacation the whole month of december.
