Great Install and numbers, but I feel something is lacking. For 600 some whp and 122 trap? I would expect much more from this setup. The car was done immaculately, the curves look pretty good, but something just doesn't seem right.

Did you get on the brakes? If thats 112 in the 1/8th (can't see the slip), this car should do 140ish in the traps by math. Maybe I'm overlooking something, though.

Otherwise, nice job.

In the earlier posts, it says the car was running the 450hp setup (8lbs I think), and not the 14lbs/600hp setting.

The BOV is located after the intercooler, just before the coupler that shredded. Bob

I'm curious as to your statement about the BOV possibly being the culprit though? Any more info on that?

If the BOV doesn't react quick enough when you slam the throttle shut, and release the boost that has built up, the boost has to go somewhere. Bob

Hahah with the combo your talking about at the PSI your talking... you will make alot more then 550RWHP... even with a LS6 type cam. I personaly love my LPE GT-7 cam for my STS setup.

I don't remember which one it is, it came as an option with the STS kit. We modified the plumbing to where there is no longer a 90 degree coupler in the system. Bob

Update! We found out the maf was faulty. We replaced it which immediately changed the tune. We retuned it yesterday on the low boost (6-7psi) setting, and the rwhp went from 450rwhp to 510rwhp, on my Mustang Chassis Dyno!
I was headed to the track when Brent was tuning this car, so I don't yet know if he got into tuning it on the high boost (14psi) setting. Bob

on the Impressive numbers!

Why don't you throw a Speed Density tune on there and get rid of the MAF altogether? Just a thought.

This car is most likely going to be on the Hot Rod power Tour next year, we need to keep the maf for altitude changes. Thanks though. Bob

Bob, What did you have to do to determine the MAF was faulty? What MAF did you end up going with?

We are currently using the STS provided set-up, but that is going to have to change, as we are seeing oil dripping onto the passenger side header from the turbo oil return line at the valvecover. Bob

Brent hooked up our scanner to it. We ended up going with the '98-'99 metal maf. Bob
