Nice peak #'s. But a 382 with a 67 and on a loaded dyno "ala mustang dyno" I would expect peak torque (peak boost) to come in sooner then 5K. Looks like the cam is bleeding a good bit of boost. The big duration is costing you some big numbers down low...

Jose, why do you correleate peak tq with peak boost / or full spool you said in another thread?
It's been shown again and again not to be the case.
I can show you my datalogs that full boost is present by 3200 and I sure as heck doubt thats where my peak torque is. Will know in a few weeks when I hop on the dyno. Many other members state full spool well before tq peak.
Also why must you dog every setup except a PTK equipped car? Not very professional at all. Believe me your probably hurting your bottom line more than helping. I know if I ever went front mount I would NOT buy PTK based on your attitude and constant trash talking.
Oh and more importantly. Congrats Bob! Guess these little STS's aren't so bad after all huh

I was not ******* the setup....not at all. If they are good numbers then great...in this case great peak #'s like I said. The area of the curve is not. Truth hurts... If I didn't post it, someone else would. I also stated the cam is hurting the setup. I know rear mount guys are protective about their setups, but look at the facts and the results for what they are. No one is saying not to do them or ...yadda..yadds. But when a 346 or bigger V8 engine has a dyno curve of a Supra, then what do you expect people to say? We deal with rear mount kits ALOT, and have a few improvements we are working on for customers. Most of them realize the facts, and are here to learn and make their setups better not just agree with the crowds.

TeeKay thanks. BTW, we worked on a rear mount LS1 car that swapping from a big blower cam to an LS6 cam picked up a HUGE amount on the bottom end from 2500-4000rpms. But then again that will apply to a front mount turbo kit also. I believe Mightymouse is in the middle of this as well, as I believe he is swapping back to a milder cam as well.

Thanks everyone! This car breaks the tires loose on M/T drag radials in 3rd gear on the road, and has a camshaft that has a great sound. This is what the customer was looking for. Turbo's normally do indeed produce better low end results with a milder cam, but the camshaft we installed still produces good low end response, and sounds awesome.
This car is now seriously traction plagued, turbo spool time is very quick, I am indeed totally amazed. We plan on taking this SS to our local 1/4 mile track next Wednesday, as long as the weather cooperates. Bob

I am indeed quite amazed at how quickly this car spools. Everyone at my shop is! This car erupts into instant wheelspin at the suggestion of wide open throttle! Thanks! Bob
