whats this guy using to build boost? its obviously a manual trans car, but you hear the engine load on something and then the turbo comes in.. before the rev limiter.

That's Chris' car... he is running the Anti-lag/Two step with the AEM (after market Plug n Play ecu). Depending on where you have it set you can build some serious boost on the line to get these heavy pigs out of the whole. That car is sick in deed he runs a stock long block and has been going 9's for sometime now. He just recently clicked off a 9.6 @ 144 to grab the title of fastest SC300 but the motor finally let go a few weeks later in some test and tuning with more boost and I believe that was after a couple of years of serious drag abuse so not bad for a stock 3.0L, huh? He is planning on building a motor over the winter to start running some serious boost. Also don't forget the SC300's are usually 150+ lbs then a Supra so not bad indeed!

ive had 3 different 2 steps, i know what one is.. and it is obvious in the second vid that he is laying all over one.. but watch the tach hang before it wraps over to the limiter..
thats what it was doing on the first pass when the hellacious exhaust started comming out before he got on the limiter (first vid)
i figure he could be spraying the nawaaazzzz on the line to build boost? is that even legal? lol.

watch the boost gauge go positive before the tach wings all the way over
i think it has a 2 stage 2 step, where it goes to one rpm level, and waits for a certain boost amount before going to the next rpm
my old accel dfi had up to 3 stages which was entire too much boost for my little tires

I wonder if you can use a 2 step and modify the high and low octane timing tables to reflect either 0 or negative timing in the cells where your going to be free wheeling the motor on the 2 step. Won't have a load so it will be different cells than when your on the gas in gear with a load. Basically its a 2 step with no timing.

David that is the AEM Anti lag. It works in a combo. 2 step and dial in the timing you want retarded. Works awesome on my Supra as well. I have a new version of the LT1 LTCC by bob bailey that has this new option like the AEM. We are going to try it here in the next week or so. I will post up the result differences between a standard 2 step and combo 2 step.

my two step breaks output shafts and ring gears 
so i stopped using it
2 step is just a second rev limiter that you can pick what the rpm is. some you can set up to remove your choice of timing to put the ignition closer to when the exhaust valve is open. so the explosion literally comes across the turbo and out the tailpipe "bang bang"
