Second shot at the dyno and here are the results.

Re: Second shot at the dyno and here are the results.
I pulled 460RWHP and 455RWTQ from my Powerdyne at only 5200rpm and 3-4#'s boost through full exhaust (Went lean above that
If I had of fixed the fueling issue I would have hit 500RWHP no problem with a pulley change.
Cheers,
Chris

I picked a cam that would still pass smog, which it did. Here is the info. on the cam I am using
Comp Cam
54-000-11 Grind number 3712/3715
HR hydr roller
LSA 114 +2 degrees
218/224 duration
.563 intake
.568 exhaust.
I can live with having the second best numbers from a Powerdyne:-)

how did your setup make 15rwhp and 30rwtq more with 1/2 the boost????

I am looking at the TR boost cam or maybe a ligenfelter boost grind (their cars usually drive great and make big power).

What octane fuel were you running when you got those numbers?
Keep us posted on your final numbers.

Re: Second shot at the dyno and here are the results.
With the stock motor and powerdyne (5#'s boost)
MAC headers, stock rear with 3.73, inline pump, catback etc it made 435RWHP and 433RWTQ.
With my ARE 360ci motor and S1 heads, 221/221 114LSA cam it made 460RWHP and 455RWTQ but went lean above 5200rpm and showed only 3#'s.
Cheers,
Chris

Nice to see that your cam passed smog! I was beginning to second guese the cam I selected, but yours has 4 more degrees duration. COOL!

LS1
TEA stage II heads opened up too 73cc chambers, Cam
Powerdyne #6 kit@
LS1-edit
36# injectors
Ported TB
Macs with cats
Borla Exhaust
McCord Power Plate
427RWHP 419RWTQ ?!?!?!?!? Should you be WELL above 500 rwhp with that setup, what am I missing, why are your numbers so low man? I know someone with just plain old LS1 stage 1 heads/cam that outputs well over 400 rwhp.

Re: Second shot at the dyno and here are the results.
no he shouldn't
you have to acct for the efficiency of the blower, how much air it can move etc....
the powerdyne BD11a will never make 500rwhp on a LS1
also don't get caught up with peak numbers, you have to look at the area under the curve.
I bet that heads/cam car does not produce 375 pound feet of torque by 3200rpm and carry above 400 from 4000-6000rpm.
Trust me that heads/cam car doesn't want to meet this "low output" blower car.

Re: Second shot at the dyno and here are the results.
I understand what your saying now. I am used to seeing guys with ATI blowers come up with 500+ rwhp numbers that the results jrios posted sort of caught my eye.
At what point do you think jrios is getting 400 pounds of TQ?
