Me and a couple friends that run a performance shop were thinking about fabricating all the bracketry and setup for a f-body Paxton novi 2000 kit.

We'd have all the bracketry CNC machine made, and all piping mandrel bent etc.


Do you think anyone would be interested in prototype testing the kit after we make it for the cost of the head unit/materials????

I would think it would be no problem to make these kits for the total cost of about $3000 easily, and the potential horsepower would be INSANE. With the $1000 option of a huge intercooler setup & piping


anyone have ideas they dont like about existing kits or upgrades theyd like to see with the kit???

I would definitely be interested!! I would certainly want intercooling, though. If you're serious about testing for a good deal, I will do it so long as this job offer comes through in the next week. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

NICE......I have always wished there was a Paxton SC for LS1s. Make sure it works with STBs on F-bodies. Thats the thing that turned me off of the Vortech. When I first got my car, I intended on going with the Vortech (good reputation) but when I found out I would have to give up my STB, it was nolonger an option.

I'd be interested in seeing one and also testing it if need be <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> since I am in SoCal. The main goal is equal or better performance compared to the other kits at a lower price. If you can do this you will sell many kits.

Sounds like a neat project.

I am in the process of putting a Vortech YS trim on my car (forged 348ci) and my friend Chris will be fabbing up a custom air/water intercooler using 3 206 (?) cores.

What would folks get for their $3000, a blower, blower pulley, tensioner, and what piping? I think $3K would be a great price but isn't the head unit alone like $2K?

i never understood why paxton didn't make a blower kit for our cars, maybe its b/c vortec bought them out.

They get enough business from the mustang and dodge guys. They havent made a kit for f-bodies for a long time and when they DID, they used the chinsey *** ball driven units that are very poor quality.

The gear driven Novi 1000 and 2000 blowers are where its at.

Alright well ive got some of the details a little farther worked out.

Anyone reading this know of or own a Vortech/ATI supercharged car and can give REALLY good pictures of the mounting & pictures of the bracketry.

Since im doing this not to make money really and to just further my own ls1 project and hopefully others, Id like to copy a vortech/ati bracketry setup and just change it enough to mount a Novi 2k in the same setup. I have a dealer account with Paxton so I get the head unit a little cheaper. And once i modify a vortech/ati bracket setup it would be EASY to do a Spearco giant intercooler custom tubing

So hopefully for $3500-3750 People could get
1) Novi 2k head unit
2) Spearco Intercooler (big enough for 900 hp @ high boost)
3) Bracketry
4) Oil lines and random little stuff

Which would be everything.

Does someone have a ATI/Vortech bracket they could ship me so i can copy it and then send it back to you after we machine our own???
