Default Procharger D1SC or F1

I am going to be getting a Procharger in the next month or so and can't decide which one. What are the pros and cons between the D1SC and F1? Is there any reason not to upgrade to the F1? My motor is bone stock ( for now ) if it makes any difference. Thanks for any input.

You could do a P-1SC that would be fine for a stock motor, if you plan on upgrading to a heads/cam setup then I would use the D-1SC, I have the D-1SC on my Heads/Cam setup, but now I'm doing a 372 motor..

Going to see how well the D-1SC works, if not, I will upgrade head units

I plan to eventually do heads/cam and stronger internals. Is there any reason not to put the F1 on to start with so that I never have to worry about upgrading, I only want to do this once. Thanks

I run an F1. With the F1 you are looking at spending about 10 grand on other things not including the motor. If you want to know about my set up let me know. I had the P1 then the D1sc and now have the F1.

Scott, do you recall the price of the F1 headunit? and would there be any need to upgrade intercoolers?

I would not put an F1 on a stock motor. Go with the D1 for now. F1 is for a built motor that's looking to make 600-900rwhp. An F1 would be similar to my Vortech YS trim, which is a race blower.

I wouldn't do an F1 unless you have a built motor. I am doing an MMS 427 and was going to do the D1 but I'm now considering an F1 with a custom single front mount intercooler setup. All depends on the $$$...

Thanks for the input guys. The reason I asked is that my local shop just did a stock motor 99' corvette with the F1 and recomended I do the same so that I never have to worry about upgrading. They said the upgrade to the F1 is only $500 over the D-1 so I was definatley interested. They're an authorized dealer if that makes any difference on pricing. I do plan on eventually rebuilding the motor towards the end of the year. "Scott WS6", what exactley are you refering to when you say plan on another 10 grand other than motor? I know the rear end will go, but what else? Thanks

Unless you have the money right now to get the whole car built-up, DONT get the F1. You will end up having the car just sit cause something is broke or aint running right.....

OK, I'm starting to become enlightened. I understand that all those upgrades are very expensive, but if I'm starting out at only 7-8 psi is the F-1 really going to make that much more power over the D1 that I have to do them right off the bat? I know the fuel system will have to be upgraded right away. Scott, do you mind if I e-mail you with some more questions since you have this set-up?
