www.groundzeromotorsports.com I know they have quality work because i am from the 240 scene (still have my s13) and the ka24de and sr20det guys rave about their manifolds and how nicely designed and fitment is great. I 2 would like some more info about the turbo GZ uses and GMR... kinda like a side by side which one would suit both of our applications the best. I am lookin more towards 550-600 wheel with my car, kinda pushing the stock internals (minus cam, pushrods, and valve springs). on 8-9 psi. any turbo gurus out there wanna break this down for us? thanks!

Yea, im all stock internals, no cam or anything. Hoping to be over 450 or around there all day on safe driving, maybe 6 psi, and bump it up to 8 psi and hope for just over 500 to rears.

and for my needs also. Ill say my needs again so you dont have to search..... Daily Driver in summer. Wont see a track. Need to be reliable on stock internals...yes i know **** can happen, but safe within reason. So im thinking 6 psi Daily hoping for 425+ to rears and bump it up to 8 psi and hope for round 5 hundo. 6 will be an everyday thing, 8 psi might be once a month. Which turbo should i get for those needs, most efficient and will help meet my goals the easiest.

Do you run any plates or fully opened. I dont have any of the plates for the catback so its open now, think i should switch catbacks when i get LTs and ORY or run cats or does it sound good?

id stay with the small turbo till you upgrade your engine it will hit peak boost very quickly and be fine for your 450hp. Both that T70 and the 67 are not big enough for 402. Hell if i were you id be an extra 60 for the new engine.

Not to throw a monkey in the wrench here... But it seems you're only looking for 450rwhp, so why spend so much on a turbo or supercharger? With a cam, LTs, a tune, and borla stingers, I've seen 450rwhp on an 01 Zo6.

With a cam and a D1SC, I saw a C5 throw down 575rwhp. I'm taking this route with my C5 and I expect no less than 570rwhp. There's a little to this route because you need the proper fuel setup and such, but once the FI is purchased you can upgrade the fuel later.

Just saying that you should make sure you have a goal in sight and if it's 450rwhp, you may be able to save some money.

Nah, this is the route i have to take. While i still live at home under parents insurance my dad wont let me touch the engine. He said No heads or cam and no nitrous. Bolt ons are fine and do FI if you want, i jsut dont want you touching the motor. I want to jsut keep it on low PSI for now so i dont blow my motor and when i get a little older and more cash and can build my motor, ill be able to up the PSI. I could up the PSI to prolly 9 and hit like 525 but then i up the chance on screwing up the motor. Ive done much research and am pretty sure this is the route i want to take. I totally understand where your coming from and totally agree also. I wish i could jsut throw a cam on there and some spray and meet my goal but..... were goin the hard way.

^^ im in the same boat as u. cept my rents dont care what i do. if i break it i fix it. lol

but i do wanna go FI eventually, about 450rwhp would be ideal since this my DD. but i have full exhaust done already, and it seems you will soon as well...

so the options i see are go STS and keep the exhaust (although i do plan on dropping the car 2 inches so im not sure if ill run in to clearance issues) or sell the LT's and dual cutouts and just go with a FMIC single turbo set up. More than likely from GMR.

Oh, and to shed some light on GMR... I post on another board that the boys from GMR frequent. And I've heard nothing but great things from them. Theyre all nice guys and seem very helpful. When I first heard about their single set up, I had just finished installing my exhaust.. so it was kind of a dead issue for me. But then they released their dyno numbers on a bone stock TA... hahaha and ive been debatin since. lol

I know how you feel though, lol im torn about what to do myself. The reason i found your post was because I thought about a S/C to keep my exhaust, but again that was shot down and im back to wanting a turbo kit. Good luck with your decision. I'll prob drop in on this thread every now and again.

Ah yea well its cool to know others have my problems..... wanting and cant decide and not having enough money, hahaha. Well I am doing my exhaust here soon. I will prolly go turbo and jsut ditch my exhaust and help pay for the turbo when i get ready to order. Just have it for now. Id ditch headers for that whooshing sound allll day. haha
