Ideas on next round of mods. What you think?
Im probably going to stay w/ my GT76R/348ci motor but going swap to a th-400 auto. Goals are consistant mid-low9s@150mph+ while still being able to drive around some on the street w/o much trouble.
My questions are:Is my current turbo sufficent? Should I go BS3?? Which turbo cam would work best for my goals while being street drivable, which verter, should i upgrade to the new ET Performance heads(which seem badass) over my TEA 2s and if so which ones--The ET 225cc, 245cc, 255cc etc etc??? Also, would the 90/90 setup be worth it over my current LSX78/75mm MTI tb on a stock cube motor?( i figure yes with that much air going through but i dunno for sure)
Im not gonna worry bout rwhp/rwtq numbers so much as i just want low-mid
9s@150mph or better consistantly w/ decent street manners
Any opinions or suggestions would be most appreciated!!!
thanks Guys/Gals

well first thing i would do is to put the T400 on it, then run it, i think you have enough power, if not you might try upgrading to BS3, if you cant squeeze anymore out of your PCM. if that doesnt do it (that turbo has done 900hp right) then youll have to go for a bigger turbo. But i think you can do it just with the tranny swap, maybe some weight removal.

no one else w/ any thoughts on which cam/stall for the t400 or the ET heads?? As stated before i want at least mid-low 9s but if those heads & that 90/90 setup would make a huge difference over my tea's 78/75mm setup then i'd get them. i realize some of the ?s my be getting old & boring & ive done some searching but havent really found the info im searching for so
Im just wanting as much input from all the experts/enthusists on here as i can get as well as think everything out throughly before making my final decision & getting the ball rolling on this project in the Fall hopefully

why not see what it can do now then decide. with the power you have now you have plenty for 9's. Are you hooking? Work on suspension and chassis, then when that is all dialed in look for more power.
a 4l80e will be heavier but you'll have overdrive. you probably only need a 3500 or so stall.

You can always make a few MPH passes at the track, I'm sure the car won't hook on anything less than a 28x10.5 slick.
If you make changes, I'd do the T400 and a good converter and go from there. That cam is good enough for now.

good idea John. i'll probably make some passes on my ET DRs just easing out. Seem to hook pretty good on the street but i havent tried a full launch on them.
BTW, i thought i would need a lil bigger turbo cam w/ the auto to build boost faster or that not true??

You'll build better boost with the automatic and the cam you have. With 850rwhp all you need is a Rossler t400 and a great converter. Call Marty Chance at Neal Chance or Jack at Vigilante and buy a killer converter. Forget other heads, cam, intake etc....won't need it at 16psi.

Wicked might not have even run 11's in that car yet. Talking about changing cams and heads should be deferred until you run some real numbers in that car. It took me two years to run 9.4@143mph, though admittedly I only went to the track a handful of times. I would not change the cam until you max the car out or something.

PSJ, ur right, I havent had any actual 1/4 passes in this car since it was bolt-on only. im not gonna change the cam. I just thought I needed to if swappin to a t400 for boost reasons but guess I dont have to. Iwas just just getting ahead of myself, and so im probably going to just do the t400/verter and then max out the combo I currently have ET/Trap wise
