346 Build-up WHOLE LOTTA ?'s

UPDATE:
Revxtreme started the motor. The new P** alternator bracket went on smoothly according to them. The alternator is a stock-style heavy duty 160 amp LS1 alternator. It's working great. It's the one from afterthoughtsauto.com that is a reworked unit in an LS1 alternator casing... The aftermarket fuel rails were a bit of a problem as is the case with any relocated alternator and aftermarket rails set-up, and some grinding was done to the back of the alternator for a fitting on the passesnger side rail.
It's running!!! The Greddy Type RS BOV has been fitted too, as well as the new Spec 3+ clutch, 3.42's for the 12-bolt, Koni SA's all four corners, and some other things. Now comes the break-in period before tuning, and then I'll update this again with some dyno numbers.

bboy, that's good news. Hope all goes smoothly, and the belt stays on.
Question: have you had any problems frying plug wires, especially on the driver's side? Solutions?
My car is fully broken in now, and should be on the dyno this week for final tuning with methanol... send me some good karma...

I'm rooting for you buddy. Unlike alot of spoiled FI users, you know the pain of a dying stock block...
Tip, tune for the methanol as little as possible. Let the methanol be a little help and let the motor do the work... If it ain't at the power level you want, run a race gas/high boost tune. I'm gonna be happy with whatever the motor can do mostly on it's own. ~700 rwhp, so be it... A little meth shot past 10 psi to keep a little cooler and be alright if a pump seizes... Or at least have the slack, tune-wise, to shut off, troubleshoot, and be okay later... The meth should be fun.
Spark plug wires? Mine run where they have a section RIGHT ON TOP OF the headers on both sides. They have Taylor silver boot covers... IDK WTF they're made of, but I pull them back sometimes and look at them, and they don't have even the slightest discoloration/defect/burn whatever... Cool to the touch, too. I'm re-using them on the new motor.
To tell you the truth, I never had belt problems... Kyle at RevX says the quality with this bracket is even better, bolted right up. They've had a problem with a fuel line, but that's about it. Both fans are now Flex-a-Lite super thin profile 12-inchers (Had only one FAL and one P** before). One old one went out, and I don't want to keep gambling on the other one... Straight to the garbage with it. Flex-a-Lite FTW.

AWESOME!!!
700RW on pump and meth is what I'm [still] after myself.... Your car and list look good, best of luck.
Can you ask RevX the pulley size they are using on your tensioner? My car went to RPM's meet last night for the first time in 11months... I lost the belt while driving last sunday night at about 1AM, makes ya nervous to even drive the damn thing. Some friends and I (RPM guys; thanks if you are reading this) worked to get the alternator lined up with the OLD PTS BRACKET and damn what a pain. The belt is tensioned on the inside which makes it want to nearly touch itself (heh heh I said touch itself ) Got it stickered today
I have a metric ****-ton of issues to work on and keep having to go out of town for one reason or another; it's really pissing me off. Real life has no right to get in the way of something like this
Oh yah, 8psi feels slow already ...babysteps though.
-edit-
...and what a stand up guy Dalton is... he's swapping alternator arrangements with me for the new one under warranty, and I got my kit from a guy (slo3ho3) who got it from a guy (superdaveZ) who bought it from PTK originally. Thanks of you are reading this Dalton.

bboy: Glorious posting with pics... very nice. Do you happen to have a close-up of the mesh you're using in front of the intercooler? I'm not sure if I like mine.
Frost: Slowhawk bracket and Katech tensioner. No more touching itself. Problem fricking solved.
Solidarity, brothers.

I will find out for you later about the tensioner when I get home from work, no prob.
8 psi, got slow on me QUICK, like STOCK slow!
Dalton has helped me enormously too... Too bad we can't leave a sponsor review since he's a non-sponsor... Oh well.
Oh yeah, and real life sucks... I just started "real life" and I'm stick in it at least 'till five.
