Not much, poss 10-15lbs. Cores are like 3"x6" each. The rest is alum. Why put it up front - something different. Besides, the pipping is only a total of 3' vice 20' feet - cost a lot less. Pipping for intercoolers are a bitch. Not worried about the extra weight. We will not be using the entire boost anyway. Max would be @1600hp. We will be using only about a 1000hp. The rest of the drive train is built for a 1000, and a 1000 should get us to our goal of mid-8's.

Thanks for asking.

I like what you did with the core support. Did you just cut it and weld in some tubing after you boxed in the ends where you cut it or what?

Yep. Main upper brace cut and boxed. Bottom part entirely cut out. Than the entire front was re-framed with small tubing. Last year the front was very "flexible". This year it's firm. This allowed for the radiator to be position where it is and for more room for the turbos. Air flow should not be a problem

Amazing. I love those returns as well.

A lot of time and thinking outside the box went into this one. One of the best setups I've seen in awhile as well.

so are you running a dry sump oil system or are you using the stock type oil pump unit? reason i ask is those circles on the cover are recess's for the bolts that hold the pump on. is there enough room back there for the oil to flow around the bolts? i really wanna do mine like that but i have a stock type pump. thanks

hey david by any chance if you have the time would you give me a call. i've got a similar setup up...370 and t-60's. and i have a bunch of questions. mine will be a street car setup using 6.0 manifolds and not near as much chrome. but i'm having trouble finding out if i should use 2 blowoffs and 2 wastegates or should i put an intermediate tube in between the turbos and put the wastegate there or what. and sizes for the blowoffs and wastegates i just have no idea what to even begin looking for. i just wanna do it right the first time. if you can call me whenever at 704-641-0712. my names paul...if not its cool i understand, thanks.

Paul. Stock system. The threads to AN10 fitting was cut in half. We should be OK. I guess time will tell. On the surface, looking at the actual feed, space, we should be OK.

I wish I could call/sell items here, but Joey is not a sponsor on this site and we can't sell items - YET! The idea behind this trend to displace/show/talk about my set-up. We are not hiding anything. Everything has been up front and to the point. Hopefully, Joey or I can answer any questions asked. I can tell you about things - if there is no sponsor for it, or no one carries that item. Past that not much we can do.

I wish there was more call for the LS1 AEM system also. It is a kick *** system. The bad thing right now is re-wiring the entire car for it.

Thanks again for all the good words. If everything goes right, dyno'd by next week (two at the most) and to the track last 2 weekends of the month for some test-n-tune.

AEM is a good EM system. Too bad more LS1 people don't use them.

What type of core did you use for the W2A???? Is it a radiator core or is it an intercooler core?

Thanks again guys.

Jimmy. It is new-style intercooler cores (2 of them). Not sure where Joey got them. This "company" has recently come out with new cores that only a fraction of the size they use to be. Mine are each 3"x3"x6". Each will support 800hp.

Honeywell makes the new cores I belive. Precision carries them for sure. We may be talking about different cores...but I think that's them.

Build looks good by the way.

I checked with Joey at the shop this morning. They are from Precision. They have numerous sizes. The shop's Mustang - twin T-61's - will be using a little bigger cores - 4"x4"x8" - good to 850-900hp each. He'll be running twin A2W intercoolers - 1 inside each fender. Should be very trick.
