I spent the last 2 days chasing an overheating problem and a/c prob. Car ran 235 degrees idle...freeway...just all the time. Finally took the radiator out...flushed it...cleaned the fins for it and the condenser...problem solved...196 deg with the air on and 96 degrees ambient temps. Now my a/c wont come out the vents properly. After chasing down hoses, i think the a/c control switch is bad.

Spool up is a good 500-700 rpms later BUT my stall is a lot tighter now so who really knows. I tested the t-brake at a light yesterday....4300 rpms saw 13.3 psi on the e-boost2!! Yayyy...it was still climbing too as it made boost. Of course until I put the rear end in, I just let off the gas until its back down to idle and THEN let off the brake.
Nothing real to report yet because of the other probs. My stall seems to flash at idle to 2600 so its pretty tight but it does SEEM to be very efficient up top. Got my daughter with me today so tomorrow will be the first time I get to log a lot and maybe some vids. I have seen 18 psi once...no i/c...15 deg timing and no KR

Did you have to change the EB2 setting to get 18psi or did the original 16 psi setting get you 18 with the new turbos?

i am currently at 45 (eb2 setting) and that got me 18psi once. I used to used 57 to get 16-16.5 psi. If it goes to 18psi, i can rock and roll. When it only does 15, it is so rich it bogs the motor down. I am going to read the instructions and see what they suggest...i just threw the EB2 on and adjusted boost...not the other stuff. As far as my lag, apparently my Fuddle is only stalling to 2400-2500 rpms vs the old 3000-3200 so that is a lot of the lag problem. No biggie as long as it will 60' off the brake. The low stall should be tight up top and give me good city mileage.

I called Jose today and they said they can modify units complete out the door for $1850. I have a incon kit for a mustang that uses the same turbos. I am think about doing the upgrade. Cable, let us know how she runs with the big boost.

Thanks

58 gets me 16.4psi....sounds identical...be sure to set the overboost setting higher than the default or it will cut you back.

Guys read my incon plug wire thread. THAT is why my damn boost has been nuts. Only got one run out on the street today but spiked to 19 and settled to 16.5....gonna go back to "stock" with the eb2 and get it setup to run 19-20psi

Did you get your A/C controls to work right? Is the A/C blowing out the bottom vents?

Sounds like the two way checkvalve broke. Its the one that is fed off the back of the intake(by the map sensor) and is routed to a place right inbetween the PCM and HVAC box under hood. If the vac line pops off or the checkvalve cracks you'll have a vac leak and the a/c will blow out the bottom vents by your feet. If you already fixed it, ignore this bit o' advice.

Autozone sells the replacement 2 way check valve on the shelf for 5.99.

i have three of those checkvalves and it aint broke. I checked all lines...vacuum canister....i think its the actual actuator and you gotta pull the dash to get it. Been baking in the sun with the top down. Not too hot at 90+mph
