KB 2.4L blower on a 402
Link
The guy had a 402 built with AFR 225 heads, the works, plus the new 2.4L screw blower from Kenne Bell.
So far on the low boost pulley, and only "rough tuning" he's at almost 600rwhp and 640+rwtrq. I'm waiting to see what the smaller pulley's and a full pull to redline, tuned, will produce. He seems pretty confident the car will eventually spin the dyno rollers to the tune of 700-750rwhp.

Unlike other kits (turbo or cent. SC), there's no upgrade for this thing should you decide you want more power. With other kits you can change the head unit and make as much power as you want. If the best they could do with a built H/C 402 running 14 psi was 690 rwhp, well lets just say I wouldn't be happy. Even if the tune wasn't 'on the edge', how much was really left in it? 25 hp? Don't get me wrong, 690 rwhp is a lot and the low end tq is great, but for a H/C 402 with that much boost I would expect more. Even with race fuel I don't think you'll see more than 750 - 775 rwhp max out of it.
Sorry, but >700 on pump gas with a fully built 402 running 14psi is a let-down IMO.

The insane statistic. 720rwtq @ 2300 rpm!
Helloooooooooooooooo tire spin.
The car is designed to handle 120 degree weather in Las Vegas.
Their is lot more in it as well as a few tricks left.
The hp was made at only 6,000 rpm., not 6,500-7000
All on 91 oump gas.
AFR is still 10.5
Torque is 700 plus from down low to the end. Flatest, longest torque "curve," I have seen.
They are still doing some R&D, so stay tuned.
I'm not taking anything away from Jeff's car - I think so far it's turning out nicely - and really the only thing that matters is that he is happy with it.
Cheers,
Mark

He is debating that, at this point.
Both Jeff and Rick are going to talk to Jim and figure out where they want to do from here.
It really is kind of cool, the car just really moves.
Wet,
I have an all out 427 SSTS TT with two big Garret GT's.
So I hear you on the turbo thing.
I think this thing is just way cool.
Mine should be up for its final numbers shortly as well Arnels 408 PTK TT.
I got to tell you, we both give this KB car some serious respect.
In words of one tuners (they have multiple car pushing xxxx), that was supplying. "Good God," I think was the reply, if I remember correctly.
Anyways, definetly a different way of thinking.
and coming form a contry that has more corners than straights, its a cars ability to accelerate smothly (ie, power under the curve, driveability and putting the power down) that makes it really fast! and BIG turbos are crap when it comes to power dilivery! this is much nicer in the way it comes in! you know how much and hwen the power will be there!you cant say that with a trubo motor!
thanks Chris.

I think the customer just wanted something new and a little different. I can respect that.

Wow is all I can say. Makes me wanna build up a motor for that supercharger.
