Question 4.25" Procharger pulley + ATI Damper = ?psi

As it says.. at 6000rpm what should I be seeing? I dont know the formula and couldnt find it on a search.

Mods: 222/227 .590 114lsa cam, 6.0L heads, stock intake, D1SC, LTs...

Are you looking for the impeller speed formula?

Impeller RPM = (N1/N2) x 4.10 x Engine RPM
N1=CrankPulley Dia N2=Supercharger pulley Dia

P1SC max rpm is 60,000. I believe D1SC is 62,000 but dont quote me.

Thanks guys... Im looking for the procedure to figure out what boost your making by knowing your pulley sizes... crank and blower pulley. The couple times I needed to know I happen to have someone nearby that knew how to figure it out, so I never had to bother with it.

Your Cam bleed off with dictate boost level.Boost level is just a measure of backpressure.Less back pressure= less boost but doesn't mean less HP. I would go with the 7-9lbs.

My car has LT headers, exhaust and a cam as the only mods. Here is what my setup saw in terms of boost VS pulley diameters.

Mine saw 7.5-8psi with a 4.25" and the ATI 7.65" crank pulley. (47232 RPM impeller speed)

It made 10-11psi with the 4.25" and 8.5" crank pulley. (52480 RPM impeller speed)

Then it made 7-8psi with the 4.25 and the SDCE 7.25 crank pulley. (44763 RPM impeller speed)

Then it made 10-11psi with the 3.85 and the SDCE 7.25 crank pulley. (49412 RPM impeller speed)

It made 13psi with no filter at 6100 RPM running only at 47100 RPM impeller speed when we had to shut due to fuel starvation.

The strange thing is that because of the SDCE is that much efficient its making more boost than the ATI idler setup even though its running less impeller speed from the blower. You can see that the SDCE is making the same boost levels as the ATI idler while running around 3000 RPM impeller speed less.

That makes absolutely no sence. Well,atleast the SDCE thing

Well those are the facts from my experince. It didnt make sense to me, but i think the SDCE has something to do with it becase it was the only thing changed.

With a tight blower belt I am going to say you will see 9 psi. There are a lot of variables to be considered when trying to figure out boost. Better flowing heads, camshafts, elevation, etc all play a part, and makes it an educated guess... Bob
