Default How do you like your Procharger?

I'm considering buying a Procharger for my 2004 gto. F-bodys have been around for a longer period of time, so I was hoping to get some feed back as to any problems you may have had, how may miles have put on since your install and how is it as a daily driver.

I have over 11k miles on my D1SC Procharger setup on my GTO. Well I guess I should say had over 11k miles. I now have an F1C blower on my setup awaiting the new motor. Anyways I never had a problem other than the alignment being a little off causing me to throw 2 belts. But that was an easy fix and I have yet to have an issue since then.

Someone told me that they installed one in a Corvette, and now every 4000 miles he has to bring it in and have the idlers replaced. This is the only bad case I have heard of, other than throwing belts.

I hear i have a 6 foot tall box waiting for me that fedex dropped off today. Ill let ya know in a couple weeks how i like mine. But after considering turbo, and seeing all the lil troubles and stuff youd have to give up or pay huge bux for to keep A/C and power steering. I found something i didnt liek with every turbo setup short of the most expensive high end kits. Only kit i was really intrested in was ho-flo's but they are having issues getting kits out the door due to other shops holding them up. So after alotta readinga nd seeing how happy everyone is with their procharger i made my order. I may end up going to turbo in a year or two, but from what i see you can FLY with a D1, let alone like an F1C or more.

Mid 9s are acheivable with a D1. And in my opinion its alot less work and trouble to run a procharger over a turbo. How fast do you want to go?

Love my D1SC ECS blower on my stock LS6 motor in my 02 Z06 and it has given me 0 issues 4300 miles later and makes stupid power on the stock motor!! In the future some time i will be dropping in a forged LME 347 LS6 and will add some new Dart 225 heads ,and then the fun should really begin making 15 lbs of boost!!
