Sorry, i meant mainly comparing to the ATI as in the readily available part and the options, close to the price.. However, i'm sure ATI makes a ton of money on each kit selling at the price they do. A turbo kit could sell for the same price and cost a little more to make with WG and more piping, but they would still make money, jsut not as much as ATI does on their kits. Or maybe better reference.... front mount STS, they are off shelf, and places like TRT offer the upgrades off shelf... for a better price than ATI even

IMHO, depends on a few things....
1. setup(single/twin).
2. keeping the accessories(AC/PS/etc).
3. type of matieral used for piping.
4. any custom work
It would all depend..but I say between 4-7k depending on the above.

Single kit with tube headers, coated mild steel, keeping A/C and P/S, over the k-member, I'd say $5,000. Have options for larger turbos and say a 3.5" downpipe. I voted $5K-$6K for a single.
Dual kit with same specs, $7,000-$8,000.

I just paid $7,500 for a brand new Incon kit that is 100% complete except for injectors, gauges, and a tune. The turbos are the larger GT37's.
He had all the hot/cold parts coated, and it came with an aftermarket scavenge pump and Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator in addition to the stock Incon pieces.
With the price of the injectors and gauges, tune, & misc I should have about $8,500 in the kit when it's fully installed in a couple days.
I think this kit's quality makes it worth every penny. ~Joshua

I wouldn't sell a tigged stainless kit for 6-8. Thats ******* crazy.
Hellion has totally blown my mind how they run their buisness. When they released their Mustang kits they posted a picture over the net with over a dozen systems all lined up on the floor. Only thing needed was to get them packed and shipped. Their current lead time is 1 week, yes ONE WEEK because that's how long it takes to get it to your door!
To bad they don't build anything for F-bodies.

This would be the premium set up, all the best, including warranties.
Now there is a lot to a turbo kit build. not just the parts, we all know that one. But the amount of time the company has involved in designing, building, prototyping, and final production costs. exp. tooling etc. Most real companies realisticly want to see a return on that money 2-3 years depending on amount. So if it took 600 man hours those cost most go somewhere.
Sure after a project is done its easy to sit back and **** I could build no problem. Sure you could becuase you seen how some else did it.
My pricing was looking at the Camaro plateform for the kit.

8k+...even if you don't need the best stuff at 700 hp, you might as well have it in case you push more...plus good parts are like cash in your pocket people are always willing to buy them. Junk parts have a much smaller niche so you end up losing more when you can't sell the junk anyways. No salvage value as the cost analysis guys would like to say.

I think some of the numbers being thrown around are quite high. 8K? Maybe if the headers are made by Kooks with merge collectors.

so like i said in my first post. quality parts done right. you guys dont realize you really do get what you pay for. anyone who said ~4g for a street kit is out of their mind. if you want 400-500 hp, get a blower. theres no point in a turbo on an ls1 for just a 100 hp gain. thats just stupid.

what ticks me off is people voting that have never bought FI or really understand just how much a ATI procharger cost...
sure you can get a d1 for 4800$ new... but then your limited to belt slip... so you have to get sdce which is 700$ oh next you need a FMIC because your twin 4.5'' intercooler such so there goes another 800$ for your FMIC kit....
im sorry but less than 6000$ dollars for something that will get you 580+rwhp that is not mass produced is ******* impossible, unless you want to wait 1/2 a year *cough hi-flo cough*
and the prices above are just for the parts not the install.
everyone wants something for nothing which is fine...but believing it will happen is retarded
