Great numbers! It does seem like they are high for the combo. Even with the super special cam. It's hard to imagine a cam that no one has ever ground could produce 100+ more hp than any other combo on a Mustang dyno.

Larger turbos don't necessarily make more power at lower boost. The key is to relieve intake tract restriction, which by your own statement is limited to a set of stock 317s. Hardly a significant modification. Larger turbos have greater potential to flow more air IF the intake restriction is also addressed, otherwise they just delay full boost.

All scepticism aside, please put it to the track and put us doubters to shame .

At 576rwhp and ~3400lb weight I can't imagine anything less than 140+mph.

I hope that's where you're at on the track, otherwise it's going to be in question.

big cam and big ar's shift the powerband up and make it come in more gradual like a centrifugal sc. and they make big power.

The car I built and raced:

1982 Mustang GT, 3400lbs w/driver, full interior, Skinny Kid 10-pt, 4.10:1 gear, T-5, 347/Streetheat heads w/2.055 and 1.600, 12:1, Sonny Bryant, Crower, Wiesco, 455rwhp on a DynoJet... 10.31 at 131mph on first Gen BF Goodrich DRs.

That's documented in 1998.

If you have 576rwhp on a MUSTANG dyno, no less, I don't see 140 being even the slightest problem. SMOKEMUP.com seems to bear this out.

I'm not trying to argue on the bench, but the track shall set you free. Please show the ney-sayers wrong. I'd be happy to apologize.

i call on those numbers at 4.5psi.

speed inc built a car with twin GT35R's and it didnt make that power at almost 3 times the boost.

i know of a car (98 camaro) went 10.20 @ 138mph with 550rwhp

OBTW, I've been at Detroit Dragway (dating myself) where 550fwhp BBCs have run mid-130s in 3500lb 2nd gen Camaros, many, many times. It doesn't take 576rwhp (Mustang Dyno) to run a 140. In a full dressed Caddy even.

Good numbers!

Too many doubters out there.....IMHO

I have a feeling that a high reving engine with the right cam could show that kind of HP especially with those free flowing GT35s!

Look forward to seeing the dyno chart

Twin GT35 - what ? There are more than 12 configurations for that turbo, including the GT35-82R. What cover - E cover, S cover or SP cover? What is the trim on the turbine cover? If it was the latter (GT35-82), with a .63 or .82 housing, I would easily believe it.

Some specifications on the turbo may help. Good numbers, if a graph can be provided.

I'm not giving out any specs, I dont care if people need to do their own "calculations" if they dont believe me or whatever. Classic bench racing. I'll post up the dyno slip when i scan it and thats it. Personally I care about how much power I made almost as much as I care about what shade of brown my **** is.

i didnt mean to put down speed inc in any way, I just meant how dude was referring to what they did like it was the gospel and SP should have their dyno fixed because speed inc didnt make those numbers before and its written in stone.
