Congrats. I like the modded front for the intercooler Noted you have the STS "MAF" pipe modded and into the TB now. Pretty nifty idea too.

since it hasn't been posted in here, I'm using a PTS/PTK intercooler BUT DO NOT BUY IT FROM THEM OR THE KIT FROM THEM PTS/PTK is a DEAD company.

here is my size:

and you can probably call spearco and order it from them or something or just have someone make you something this size such as TRT Turbo, as they on the other hand are a great company and very responsive!!!!

and a thank goes out to JAvenger007!

Its a snug fit so DO NOT go any larger than that if you want it to fit with no modifications to the bumper

Heres a pic illustrating it. The big red dot represents the foglight opening of the bumper that sits right next to the IC:

Schantin you crazy ***, you quoted my pics, LOL.

yeh man, me and my dad thought about saving the bird and thats the only thing we could come up with. We both wanted to cut out the top all the way and have no circles, just attachment to the top of the license plate frame at the tips of the wings and the bottom part below the bottom tail feather, BUT we were afraid that it would flap back and forth in the wind at 100mph

even with the bird cut like that i get good airflow, it was 78 degrees outside and after getting on it through all of 4th gear my IATs were not even 95 degrees and quickly cooled back down to 84. I'm only seeing ~3 to 3.5psi of boost right now so I am getting some pressure loss.

where can i buy springs to put in my wastegate so its just that simple to put in a say 7psi or 8psi spring and not have to run lines everywhere or such?

You're going to get a loss of 1-2PSI if the STS is still referencing the wastegate from the turbo and a FMIC is installed. I ended out running a line to the intake manifold to reference pressure, which fixed the prob. You could install a bigger spring if you don't want to run such a long vacuum line, but the 1st method worked well for me.

i hear ya, I'm going to go with the spring method...I wish they made a 7.5psi spring . All i can find is a 7.252psi and then a 8.7psi spring from Tial

I actually went back and read this... and it isn't the STS pipes at all. its all the PTS stuff, that was ALL WRONG when they shipped it to us even though they custom build it... SCREW PTS/PTK.

thanks man! yeh we still have a lot of work to do though, LOL.

For those that keep asking about the STS booklet as they get used kits and people aren't organized and keep the book with them or something like that.

I can email you the booklet.
YOU WILL NEED ADOBE ACROBAT READER. I have it put into 4 acrobat pdf files.

well... I moved Rachel today so I could try and put Alex's car on the lift after doing her window motor. When I pulled Rachel back into the garage I noticed LIQUID OIL SPRAYING out of the exhaust pipe. If we had driven the car the engine would have been DESTROYED! something happend to either the pump or there is a stopped up drain line....

Luckily no oil made it to the intake.

If this had happened during driving we would have lost the engine.

SO.. I'm going to call STS and talk with them, but as of right now I'm in the market for a turbo fix, or a BRAND NEW turbo. Dr.Turbo..and TRTTurbo, I will be talking with you soon via PM.

I had a 60-1 garrett turbo before it failed... I'm looking at a replacement for this turbo from either Garrett or Turbonetics (any other good companies??) and I'm only going to be running 7psi.. so I don't need a turbo good to 30psi or anything, just 0-15psi or so.

I'm looking for something similar to replace it.. somewhere in the 52-64mm range...idk what they make as I haven't looked much into it yet but what would yall recommend?

thats fine man, post it up, maybe we have started something.

the only reason I didn't cut out to the wings up in the top middle above the birds head is I was afraid it might not be strong enough to stay steady at 100+mph....LOL it would start flapping like a bird, HAHAHAHAH

oil pump wiring was insufficient... things had wiggled loose. Going to re-do connections and make darn sure that nothing will come off. also going to wire pump in high mode, install a valve breather of some sort, and make a trouble circuit (thanks to electrical classes ) to alarm me if the pump dies.

ok guys, the pressure switches that STS has, the rear one and the front one. My rear one went bad...so i need a replacement

Where are the STS dealers on here? I need a brand new replacement from STS ,

I need a Oil pump, rear pressure switch (and what psi does this operate at?), and front pressure switch.

TRT (Texas Rear Mount Turbo) is a sponsor.
The pump is actually called a scavenge pump, and you can find it in its generic state (no STS label on it) on the web, or you can find a "better" unit if you wanted to do that.

I still have the original unit. If you Google "scavenge pump" you will find lots of choices, some now specific to turbo applications.

where can i get a great SCAVENGE PUMP??

I saw this one:
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/partnumbers.htm#oilscavenge
and some from turbowerx that porsches use from 240 to 350

but i want to know what others are using.

STS's pump is a POS, this thing has less than 8k miles on it and its dead, i wish you could hear it. It sounds like a dieing cat. Connected straight to a 12V battery it sounds this bad, and I dumped another 2qts of oil. I'm not moving it... gonna jack her up and replace this sucker

ALL STS users GET A NEW SCAVENGE OIL PUMP, IF STS has replaced it with a new unit since 2 years ago fine its probably better but this one is a piece.
