Default New Product announcement, S-series Turbo

In 6 weeks the new S-series turbos will start to become available. These units will feature the latest Turbine wheel,, compressor wheels, bearing carriers and new Compressor covers from Borg Warner, and will be exclusive only to 2 Borg Warner engineering facilities. These new units will be offered in addition to our current production of 70mm to 88mm, but now also include a 91mm, and even 95mm in the current chassis and all using ETT technology. They will be a drop in replacement for current units, customers may have. We have worked hard to get these units out and some of you guys have been waiting for a long time for the 88's since covers have been non-exsistent for some time and we are glad production is stepping up to help.

So S491's and S495's are going to be a reality

Prices at TBA for 91 through 95mm versions.

On the current S85's I believe it does. But they are older style wheels. These will be a whole new casting which is then CNC'ed down to the size the customer wants.

That's awesome, but I have one question. Is there ever going to be a S106 or something like that? Surely there are big block guys out there that want something a little larger than a PT106.......

We are working on that. We have comp wheels that are into the 132mm range, but covers and turbine wheels are a pain to get.

That's funny, I was just looking at compressor maps wishing I could put a YSi compressor wheel in my T76GTS. At 90 lb/min and 15 psi boost, it would be 72% efficient versus my T76 at about 55%.

How long of a wait is there for the S88's? I was wanting to order one, so would it do any good to go ahead or just wait until they have more?

Thanks

Well looks like you got the specs already...hehe. It uses a TM1 turbine wheel, and uses a modified Borg Warner CHRA. Also that particular comp wheel is a rare wheel, as they are VERY hard to get and they are true ETT. The units are damn near bullet proof
