you'll get tired of replacing the bottles and from what i understand, taking a motor that has had N20 run through it many times and then trying to run FI will only yield you numbers...... i would go FI..... its always there, just my $.02

The STS isn't the first choice for many looking to make power. Of the results I have seen from other people, certain varibles such as exhaust wrapping, intercooling, and methanol injection can affect the final results quite a bit.

but thats the same way with any turbo kit, sure a non intercooled STS car is gonna make maybe 400-420rwhp, but for someone wanting to spend 4k, thats an easy kit to start off with. you get the basics and like anything else, you can upgrade it as you go and multiply the power

Ok, nice DYNO NUMBERS. BUT, why are there not any 1/8 or 1/4 mile times posted? I am very curious since most of the sts guys only post DYNO NUMBERS.

There was a 9psi car that ran a 10.9 a few months ago here on the boards. A basic T67 with FMIC. He has since sold the kit though. It was a red trans am if you search around.

some of us dont race at the track, i love the fact that i have stock rims and height so people mistake me for being a regular Z28 and then the whistle comes and they're done

plus i will admit, with a stock clutch slipping, i ran a 8.4@86 i think, but the car sat too long and the y pipe wasnt wrapped and the turbo barely spooled enough. now i wanna get a clutch and try again with my new cam

I made 440 rwhp on 5 psi. I had a TR224 cam and Jet hots though. I added meth and turned up the boost to 8psi and ran a 12.0 @ 120 w/2.0 60ft time. The car raceweight is 3800lbs and has 4.11s so the time is a little slow. If you do the calcs for horsepower and weght vs. mph and thats over 500rwhp.

Net HP = Weight in pounds* (Speed in MPH/228.4)^3 = 551rwhp for my car

i think the main problem with STS kits is that people tend not to do it right and see it as a cheap kit....when it all adds up to be close to the other kits...

thats why people have **** talked this kit so much. i have no complaints from mine or the kits, as every kit has something you don't like

you pay too much for an sts kit to only be in the 400's IMO.

you pay double that for a front mount to get low 500's..... yes you could push the stock bottom end and get over 6..... but to me, i want the stock bottom end to live, otherwise i would push 7.5psi and be mid 500's with a cam only sts car

Except for nitrous, how could you get there any cheaper or easier and have the same street manners, gas mileage and cool turbo sounds?
