i love the 3.23 with my auto.. it has good launch and has legs on the top end. im sure a manual with a 3.42 would be very comparable in drive ratio.

With my 2.75 gears and a 6500 shift point these are the splits (I usually shift at 6000 though)
1st goes to 70 mph
2nd goes to 120mph
3rd goes to 175mph

So from a highway roll above 55mph I grab 2nd, converter flashes to around 5000 rpms with 14psi, I peddle it until 90ish for traction and I then hold the gear until 110 mph, grab 3rd to about 130 mph, let off and see how far behind me the guy I was racing is.

one shift and I never lift off the gas and boost never drops. I personally feel 175mph is enough top end.

those are good numbers for an auto. i have a "little cam" that doesnt sound mean, but make my car just wanna be in boost almost all the time in a M6

Those are good #'s. If you were a "dyno queen", you could use the laptop to lock the converter right when going WOT on the dyno. It's all about the drivability, though. I'm sure it pulls much harder than those #'s show.

im not a dyno queen or i would never have told ya about the converter im very satisfied car pulls very hard, more power than i expected . cant wait for it to warm up.

i had originally planned to swap out the cam , but.... i dont see any reason to , it has great dd manners and put good #s down.

My car made a best of 470 RWHP / 515 SAE corrected on 14psi with an unlocked converter. I'm way out of the ballpark for normal dyno numbers though LOL.

this is why I am second guessing my sts kit. Your making 500rwhp.. You should be in the low 11's n/a or with nitrous making that power.

I will be shooting for 600-650 with my sts kit and trying to hit high 10's.. With nitrous I know I could hit low 10's... Ill give a little to have the power always there but if I only pull out some 11's like a lot of the 600hp cars I have seen ill be pulling the kit off.

I'm hoping for around 430RWHP on my GTO. GT-67, FMIC, methanol, 5psi. Already have Kooks long-tubes on the car.
