Tweaked my budget kit
After:
I know it's hard to tell from the pics but all that tubing is there because I didn't have a tight enough bend to clear the K-member...anywho...I made the numbers in my sig that way so it must have not been hurting too bad.
So i finally got off my butt and mocked up this C6 manifold set-up i have been thinking about for awhile for the passenger side. I now have a ton of clearance & considerably less piping. This time around i am going to paint and then wrap the tubing as well to keep some more heat in.
I will take some pictures of it installed once i get everything back together.

yes, his car has the relocated alternator to the passenger top of the engine, keeps the a/c in stock position, and two pusher fans

And yes MM is right, still have a/c.
Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Stock '98 passenger side manifold flipped around on the driver's side....so it clears the steering shaft nicely but the alt does have to go up top.
Stock '02 Ls1 camaro/firebird passenger manifold on the passenger side in the original location...which is why i had to fab up the mess of tubing you see in the first pic....but it seemed to work because as i said, it made the numbers/ET in my sig.
Now i am running the same pass '98 manifold on the driver side (it is pretty restrictive but seems to work) and the passenger side C6 manifold on the passenger side which eliminated all that tubing.
Stevemilz: you can run both manifolds in their original orientations but it won't work for me on the driver side because of where i have my DP.
Yes, and thanks Smokin, all pipes are over the K-member (I did under once, will NEVER do it again) and still retains the A/C.
The one big problem with my set-up is having to use pusher fans....they seem to cool it ok but just not the right way to do it.....so I've been thinking about ways to switch back.
On another note, if anyone has or knows where i can find a '98 aftermarket (tubular) manifold please let me know. I don't like using this multilayer, non-good flowing manifold.
And one more thing since i am on my soap box....I wish turbo manufacturers would just make/sell their kits around an aftermarket K-member....when you are spending $6K+, what's another $200-$400 when it makes for much better routing/flowing kits, evens out the turbo kit's weight and is easier to work around. If i was any good at making a tubular manifold, i think i could really make a nice kit with stock location for alt & fans.
Thanks for all the compliments guys!
