Vortech Supercharged 2006 C6 Z06
Hi All -
Just wanted to share my experience with my A&A Vortech C6 Z06. I picked her up from A&A Corvette in Oxnard over a month ago and I couldn't be happier.
The car idles like stock, drives like stock and gets 30 + mpg when driven normally. Once you put your foot into it, all hell breaks loose! The power delivery is so smooth and linear, there is no lag or peakyness. Just a seamless rush to redline that is AWESOME!
Install
Intercooler
Fuel system
Total sleeper
Its tuned very conservitely to keep the fragile pistons happy;
My only other mod is LT headers and its all tuned by Charlie. Power before the blower was 480 rwhp. After the SC install we got 577 and the fuel system finally helped the package cross the 600 rwhp mark.
The system on my car is a "one of" system built by Andy Green and is not the official system Vortech just introduced. My system is built around an S-trim and the Vortech system uses a t-trim. http://www.vortechsupercharger.com/product.php?p=142 Eventually I'm going to put in a t-trim in place of the s but I know the LS7 wont hold much more power before something goes wrong.
I've become such a fan of FI that I scrapped the idea of swaping an LS7 in my 03 and we're putting in a forged 416 c.i. L92 with a T-trim.Power is soooooo addicting!!!

The car is a beast and I'm totally addicted to forced induction now -
BTW - the reason I said it was a "sleeper" is because it doesn't have a loud exhaust and is very stock looking. I suprised the crap out of a blown CTSv that thought he was going to hand me my @ss last week
I will report on my 03 project as soon as I get it back from A&A - should be a total monster - forged 416 inch L92 with a T-trim
