Those who moved radiator up and verticle.... in here

I have a couple thoughts on 1 fan vs 2.
First is if the fan goes bad with 1, you are screwed, if 1 goes bad when you have 2, you should still be ok to drive.
Next is thickness of the fan. Most 16's are going to be around 4 inches, while 10's are 2.5 or so. So that is saving you 1.5 inches infront, and with you keeping the ac condenser up there you may not have alot of room.
Last is surface area that the fans are gonna cover. 1 16 may move more air, but its going through just the spot it covers, unless you make a shroud, and 2 10's cover most of the radiator getting more air in more spots.
I went with 2 10's cause you cant fit 2 10's width wise with the griffen that we got.
Good luck man, get more pics of you car up so i can look @ it and steal idea's for mine.

did you get the spal's?
here's another "idea" lol i made my end caps going to weld them up tomorrow, since i'm still running the condensor thing the passenger side one i had to clear it up alittle so that the line fitting could fit, iunno it's just cut/curved in to make like an extra 1.5 inch needed

I see what your saying... We are going to make some end caps, but dont have any steel laying around for that right now. Wait till you see my upper radiator support. It wont work for you, but you will want something just like it. I will get pics next week of all my radiator supports/brackets.

i'm thinking of going with this one as two pullers since i have alittle extra room to spare for some pullers, they do 2500 CFM so that should be good enough for the street car, more than stock right?

Im very glad you made this thread and got this good info in hear. Once i started mocking up my turbo kit, we realized an aftermarket radiator would make our lives alot easier. A quick search and i found/revived this thread. The more info the better in hear, so more people can see what we have done to do it them selves.
Hear are a couple pics of my install. When i get the top support done i will show pictures of all the brackets.
I didn't cut out the whole radiator support because i did not want to have any issues with the hood latch.. I am going to box out the corners like reject suggested, and i am making a piece of stainless to cover the top. On the bottom i have 90's made out of 1/4 inch mild steel painted flat black, with some boat weather stripping foam stuff to stop vibrations. When we get it all on next week i will show more pictures.
If anyone wants to see lots of pictures, and how i did pretty much my whole build http://www.sidewayz.net/turbota
Thanks, Chris

On another note. What does everyone do with the coolant temp sensor that is in the stock radiator? how are people making it work with the griffen if they even are. I know i need a little pipe welded to it, for the venting of the heads or what ever. Just curious about the temp sensor.
Thanks, Chris

With enough money anything can be done.
