finished up mine last night besides the top one but thats pretty self explanatory. Heres my radaitor bracket for mounting it upright. Piece of steel welded on a angle to meet the curve of the radaitor and a a "C" channel piece welded to that to keep it from moving front/back and falling off. Put on a piece of rubber on the arms to keep it from rubbing through the sides of it. VERY solid and cant move anywhere...

That's a pretty good idea Taubr Unit. My question is why hasn't anyone that cut the upper and lower radiator bars out just make the new ones bolt in so if you ever have to pull the engine it can just come straight out the front of the car?

I just about finished mine, last time I was in here it was like 4-5 pages long I think.

anyways I found a cheap goodyear hose at checker for the lower rad. hose.

part# 52418 checker
well thats what it says on the tag on the hose. may have already been posted but I'm not reading through 13 pages to see if it has.

also for anyone who moved there alt. I have a part number for the belt needed. I searched earlier and couldn't find anything so.

part# 725k6 auto zone

I'll post pics later if anyone wants to see them.

Belt size will depend on tensioner, alt relocation kit, and if you have a underdrive pulley.

belt is a 6 rib, and should be around 71-73 inches depending on variables. Im running a 715k6 on my car.

Thanks for the info.

anybody using fal fans wire them into the stock wiring? looks like it's just 2 wires that hook up to the fans. I was thinking I could just tap into those. is that a bad idea? I have the control box for the fans but there no real "good" place to mount the box.

I really suck at wiring, and most things elec. for that matter.

any help would be great.

I ended up doing this also. I went with one puller 12inch spal on driver side. Its a pretty big "high performance" fan that pulls like 15amps. And then the same one but a pusher on the pass side.

So far so good, i havent tried the ac yet in warm weather so im not home free yet.

Does that count?

wow awesome thread learned alot.

looks like I'll be going with that burkhart front end, but using the griffin radiator and the FLX-210 puller's should be PLENTY of room, and cool nicely...that and the stainless line kit...man it makes an engine bay look so much better.

edit: is there anyway to mount a hood latch with the burkhart front end?

Oh yeah I have my fans programmed to come on @168 degs. I also have my fans run for 2:30 after shutdown (key off) if the temps get to 210 which is the norm after a track pass....only to remove some heat when its pitted.
What setup is that?

I just thought of something: If you hack out some/most of the radiator support, then can you still use that as the spot to hook up your cherry picker for removing the engine from the bottom? Or do you pretty much have to come out the top or have a lift to remove the engine... or did any of you weld in extra bracing under the support to re-strengthen this area just for this procedure?

I don't recall seeing it through the thread but has anyone done a double pass setup on a vertical setup? I have been looking for a core around this size (27.5x15.5-18x3) and I find very few in the double pass style. I know Ron Davis would probably do a custom setup but I don't want to pay that kind of money for a radiator that should cost around 200-500. The info is appreciated guys. Thanks Chris

I drilled and tapped for the fitting then used some thread tape. I haven't had any problems so far
