Going to try a little camshaft experiment..

Only was able to make one pass today, didnt hook at all and ran a 9.45 @146 with a 1.46 60 foot. Oddly enough my boost really hasnt changed. Hopefully I'll be able to make a couple clean passes tomorrow. Took me a little while to get the car to idle right.
I'm beat and going to bed.

Yeah, I was gonna ask if you were gonna change the tuning at all.
Thanks for the info, looking forward to hearing more as I'm still running the LS6 cam you had such good results with.

Anyhow, after 6 passes I will say that the top end has improved but until I get on some better tires I would say the 60 foots have dropped off a little. Car is running 145-146mph in 2200' DA which is pretty darn good. I'll have some vids tommorow, I lost first round against a 8.30 turbo SBC 4th gen firebird. Another car in the class was runing 7.90s so I knew I wasnt going to go far but the Year One Experience is always a fun race.
As far as myths I subscribe to the wide LSA for centrifugal superchargers. I'll trade off the dyno friendly peak power of lower LSA cams for a more spread out power wide LSA cam. Not to mention the increased drivability and idle quality.
Boost really hasnt dropped much, about .5 PSI which kinda surprised me some. The main reason I bought this cam was to use in a bigger engine, figured I would try it out on the 346 for the heck of it. With 9.2:1 compression and installed straight up it has a pretty good lope, the 222/228 sounded almost stock, this sounds like it has a cam
I'll leave it in for a while, it no doubt pulls harder up top but untill I try it with some better tires I wont know about the 60 foot. Videos tommorow.

Cant complain about a 9.32@146 on those tires with a D1SC @ 14.5psi.

I'm glad to see the cam is working in the 346 for you, Kevin. It will indeed be interesting to see what it does on the ET Drags you normally use. Bob
