Oh I didn't forget. Been looking all over town for that freaking Loctite 567. Ended up getting 565 because it is the only thread sealant I could find without having to order it on-line. Planning to drop and tap the pan tonight and put a new oilpan gasket on as my old one was apparently seeping quite a bit at the front.

No problem. Heading out to the garage shortly and will be there the rest of the night (except for dinner).

Yes I am. Ordered that right after I got my APS deposit confirmed. Been sitting in the garage waiting to go in the car. Should finally be bolted in this weekend.

Made some good progress last night. Many thanks to James (n20junkie on LS1tech) who came down and assisted me. We dropped the oilpan and drilled and tapped the oil feed and drains. We also dropped the fuel tank so I can install my new pump. Prior to his arrival I re-assembled the motor mounts with the urethane inserts. They look nice now that I painted them! My new plug wires and plugs also arrived via UPS today. Woohoo! It's coming together! Should see lots of progress this weekend as I have nothing planned except for working on the car. Hoping to have it as close to complete as I can by Monday.

Yeah the AIR pump was the only issue I have run into so far. Already made some of the cuts for the intercooler. Made the bottom lip trim and the large top edge cut and bend. Needed a smaller grinder for the 3" sections that get bent up (but ran into compressor issues). Once I borrow another compressor I should be able to finish that up. And a buddy is taking my bumper beam to trim with a plasma cutter for the clearancing that happens there. I have it all marked and ready to trim.

I ordered the KM003. The kit comes with urethane inserts that go into your stock motor mount clamshell. You still need to get from the clamshell to the k-member. I believe APS recommended the KM003 in that long thread with the initial info. Somewhere in that 95+pages it is mentioned.

Default Updates from Friday 31Aug07

Today the UPS man was VERY good to me!!!! The wheels are here!!!! Unfortunately one of the rear wheels has a gouge in it so they are drop shipping me another one. But 3 out of the 4 looks SWEET!!!! This is gonna be badass!!! And there is a preview of the brakes that will end up on the car later on. They will of course be painted Orange! But I think I still need spacers to clear these monsters. That is a mock-up F-body knuckle I have those mounted on for now to check clearances.

Also started routing the Racetronix hotwire kit tonight. It doesn't have any directions so just looking for the safest, most logical routing. Think I have it. Will get more pics tomorrow.

Default Updates for Saturday 01Sep07

Got the tires mounted to the 3 good wheels this morning. And I gotta say they look AWESOME!!! I am so excited to get the car back on the ground with these on it. The replacement wheel should be in Tues or Wed and I will get the 4th tire put on then. Many thanks to Ryan at Belle Tire for the tires/mounting/balancing. It was a better deal than getting them from the wheel/tire source I got the wheels from.

Next item of the day was finishing the routing of the Racetronix hotwire kit for my fuel pump. I think I found a pretty good routing and well hidden behind the factory heat shielding. Not bad if I do say so myself. Almost looks like it was meant to be there.

Ran the line for the turbo coolant from the engine block on the pass side.

Finished trimming the crossmember for the intercooler installation. Added the rubber stripping and installed the intercooler. Bolting those IC brackets on was a pain in the rear!

Also snapped some shots of my hoodlatch cable that is routed under the fender so it will not be in the engine bay anymore. It will be between the fender and plastic fenderliner.

Default Updates from Sunday 02Sep07

Today was another busy day!! Alex dropped off my trimmed bumper. Painted the cut metal sections and set it aside.

Reinstalled the oilpan.

Installed the LH side coolant line. Needed a 17mm allen key to get that plug out of the block! It's huge!

Installed the battery tray, and coolant reservoir in the car. Subassembled the air deflector and washer bottle. This washer bottle looks pimp!

Valve spring & pushrod swap was next. Installed LS6 valve springs and stock length TSP pushrods. Big thanks to my buddy Tony for his assistance there.

And the final task for tonight was to hang the turbos on the car!!!!! Yeah baby!! It's looking good!!!!!!
