I would buy a double roller timing set. They can handle the stress alot better than a single chain will.

Lots of people have ls2 timing chains and high HP. The double chains tend to require a little clearancing. That being said, if you're going into the motor anyway, you might as well give yourself the extra peace of mind with the double.

I have the rollermaster double chain set and I just bolted it on . I didn't have any clearance issue's with mine, but I have also heard of some people having that problem.

I just received the C5-R JWIS single chain from Katech (sponsor).
They run this single chain with the GM gears and have NEVER had a problem.
Some of the aftermarket offerings stretch over time.
I figured if they use it for endurance racing at high RPM's then it will
be just fine for my ride (details in sig).

I used a crain double roller for my forged turbo ls1. I would advise on the dual chain, its not that much more and should be alot stronger and safer that a single. On that note, what oil pump are u using? You will most likely need to grind down the frt of the oil pump for it to clear the timing cover.

Its not as bad as it sounds. Basically u will see that the snout on the timing cover where the frt seal sits will hit in the middle of the frt of the oil pump. The part that hits on the oil pump has a good amount of material. A bench grinder works best. Just take your time and remove a little at a time. Just make sure to test fit with the frt cover gasket in place. It took me 30 mins start to finish to make it fit. Keep in mind you should recieve spacers with the dual roller set. On the driver side spacer you can install it backwards which will result in low oil pressure. I know because i made that mistake and had to take it all apart again. Double check this step.
