Default KYTP to prove a point.

Whats up guys?

After a long day at work and several beer's later I am in the mood to lay out some idea's and want some opinions.

I am planning a new build. I traded the shop car for a 72 Slit bumper Camaro, which is getting a 410ci BBC so I can get it running an sell it.

I want another LS1 car. I miss mine. You guys know me. It's Turbo or nothing at all. My business partner is yelling about a LSX based twin turbo terror. I was thinking of a 800rwhp street car.

What do you guys want to see here on the board? I am a street racer at heart. I have been out of the game alot of years. Common sense take its toll.

This thread may get shut down. I dont know. I am open to idea's on this build. I dont have budget yet. I dont care how long it takes to build.

I just want some opinions...

Add another 800hp to that number with staggered fuel injection then we are talking.

Iron is old school. Use a Warhawk, Dart or maybe the ERL blocks the Ohio Boys use.

Build a car that can do it all. By "all" I mean the following:
1. 9.99 or faster.
2. 25 mpg or better.
3. Out run just about anything on an ATX.
4. 0-60 like no other
5. 60-0 like no other.
6. Long Hauler on HotRod Powertour!!!!!

Keep it full interior, creature comforts and all!

I'm waiting......

I say a decent cubed motor 402+.. then a reliable single or twin system, whichever you can make more reliable. And push it with as far as you can go on pump and meth, run on 17" or bigger wheels (DR's out back), 4l80-e trans, dual or 3 intank pumps for street manners, keep a roll cage out of it, roll bar at most, try to keep the AC and as many factory features as you can.

Think motorcycle. As in that fast, but think diesel as in reliable haha. And somewhere in the realm of space shuttle horsepower/thrust. Yes...thrust. I want to see an lsx car with some thrust.

Hey.... we're already building that car out of a GTO!!! Josh should build a TT Pontiac Solstice with all his slick turbo tricks, that would be hot!

Everyone thinks a little different but I think a car that can do both, streetable and very fast,is the best.Thats the beauty of a turbo car to me,it can do both very well.I know it means some comprimise when building the car but nothing does this comprimise as well as a turbo car, especialy a ls car.Build a big power car that can be driven on the street,I think this is what most people really want anyway.Everyone loves race cars but most want fast street cars.As far as twins or single and cubes,as we all know all of these can work very well.As long as its turboed and makes big power and is ls,we'll love it!

If you want something to prove, build something that will beat a Bugatti Veyron in accel./decel., braking, street manners, and handling. I have seen some Supra's that rival this, but no V8 cars yet that have been built by privateers. Best company so far to achieve it is probably Saleen with the S7 TT.

Take a front wheel drive v-8, cut the car in half behind the seats and put a single wheel in the rear and turbo the hell out of it and see if you can make the worldest fastest 3-wheeler!

The problem with the GTM is a the price and all the labor to build that car. Mega bucks. The cheapest route would be a FD RX7. Its light, handles awesome, great looks, and we know LSX engines will bolt right in. That is the potential Bugatti killer there....
