Default 1005 rwhp 03 C5...

hello guys!

i dont hang here much as i hang over @ corvetteforum. i need some help and really think that this is the place for it. 1000+ A4 arent that uncommon here

car is top mount, not sure i can say the name, but anyway i'm having issues. had the car on the dyno 12/15 and it laid down 1005 but it seems that the rev limiter is kickin in. i am now starting to thinkin that i am havin spark blow out or something related. i did RELOCATE MY COILS, so the wires are longer


look at the dyno sheet....
i made 1005 @ 5500!!!
the other run on the sheet i was actually making 80 more then the 1005 run but the cut out early!!!

here is a vid.....doesnt sound like rpm limiter...

here is a screen shot.....i thought that i was having some sort of etc issue so that why i logged all pids





so i really need some input from the heavy hitters, i mean i got 1005 thru A4 @ 5500!!!

could i be having spark issues, lenghtened wire cannot help. any part #s for truck coils that i should run?

oh yeah btw as i turn the boost up the car seems to hit what SOUNDS to be the rev limiter earlier..

Someone else was having the same issue! Some are saying it could be the valve spring's??? Not sure. I actually was having the same issue,but mine is electrical related. Broken ground wire's. I have also seen your car on corvette forum. Nice car and good #"s.
I just watched the vid and it sound's like it is popping back thru the intake??? Was you ever making this power before or this boost level?

aftermarket crank reluctor wheel? i would say the cam and crank are losing sync

Dig the custom heat shields. Looks like a solid install, but it must have come with a stainless steel shoehorn for maintenance!

dave i was thinkin the same...no codes though but that doesnt mean sh*t...
sh*t i need to log that pid on the dyno...

that is stainless steel tubing cut and massaged...
no actually i have made it so that it isnt that hard to work on.

i though so but no....

tiago i know that u run stock coils but since mine wires are lenghtened truck coils might help.

Seen this problem alot...could be alot of different things. For me it ended up being the crank sensor. It never threw a consistent code either. It's a cheap easy try. Good luck...I hate gremlins!

19.5 i made 1005 and the other line(look at dyno sheet) above that one was almost 21
