Pretty vague question.....would it help for what?
It really depends on what your application or intended use is. If you want drag performance, you should consider stepping up to a 12 bolt or even a 9 inch rather than spending money on the 10 bolt anyway.
More details would be a better start for your question and/or, use the search function here. There has been a ton of discussion on the effects of gear changes.
Good luck...

up in smoke
making that kind of power through a set of 4.10 gears will generate two things....tire slip and higher 60 foot times. imo. unless you're running e/t streets or something similar, then they'll generate one other equally bad thing...a snapped 10 bolt. the 3.73 is a good match for the automatic unless you've got an engine that likes to stay in the 4,000 to 7,000 rpm range

those gears will kill a ten bolt and are only good for drag only with auto's and 28's. a 6 spd and 4:11 is better for the street and mpg. like evowake said dont fix it if it aint broke. run good tires and go form there. just bring a trailer, im on my stock 10 and trailer it plus i live far from the track. auto's lasta lil longer especialy with a big squshy tire.
