Kenne Bell install with numbers now as well.

That motor at high boost is going to be sick in that Z. I am also looking forward to hearing how she feels on the road. Get home safe from the Desert Riviera and fire it up!

We didn't have any boost problems but I think some others have had some expectation management with the smaller 2.6L. This year it will be a 750rwhp setup but over the winter I am looking at some differing options with intake tract behind the blower to allow some much higher numbers in the spring after the driveline is sorted out.

So is 25psi safe with the 2.8L? I see it's rated at 10-21psi, I would imagine they deem that efficient operating range and not max. As well as RPM the blower is turning too.
So did this originally have the ETP heads and you went from them to CNC'd 317's and now to the TPIS heads?

No ETP's here.... I am too cheap.
15-21 is the efficient range but 25 is the max and I should be able to get there but the heads will probably be the limiting factor. This years efforts will concentrate on efficiency running as little boost as necessary to get to 750. Next year will be a max effort to push it.

I talked with a company recently that says they are designing a 4L twin screw for the ls3,ls9 engines. I am also looking forward to your results, especially with the 2.73 gears and some track times.
Since i have rectangle port heads on my 6.8 i am looking forward to the 4L
Plus i'm tired of everyone ******* the pd blower setup. With a big enough twin screw and a well designed intercooler setup, that blower setup should be better than a centrifugal setup. It should definately be more fun either way though.

why with such high boost number, would you only expect 750hp? With a centri and that much boost, you would probably be over 1000hp. I know boost is just measure of restriction and blah blah. I know the are different types of FI, but is a twin screw that much less effecient then a centri or turbo? I know roots blowers are generally, but i thought TS blowers were much more effecient.

We just don't know at this point. The only example so far in "high boost" application on the two boards I know of was Jeff's 408 and it saw 17-18 psi and made the 800 number. He said they did not push it beyond that as far as I know but he did tell me the blower wasn't anywhere near its max. That is why I said this year (before the snow) we will see how efficient it will be with tuning up to the 750 number with as little boost as possible.
